Lovecraft Quest - A Comix Game

So many people are using words like "Lovecraft", "Cthulhu" and "Dagon" in their games in the hope of appealing to an already existing fan base. Fans of Lovecraft's writing may purchase this game for a rich narrative experience in the form of a comic with a few interesting narrative based puzzles or decisions. Watch, as your preconceived expectations are strangled to death in front of you by the hands of a smiling developer oblivious (or perhaps not) of their own wrong doing. I didn't know what to expect for a couple of bucks, but Dev's, don't think for a SECOND that two bullets will down Dagon or that having Cthulhu show up in your game makes it a "Lovecraftian experience". Like a scared anime girl with a short skirt and no knickers I expected to enter into a room filled with hundreds of pulsating flailing tendrils, which I did at first... Short, but refreshingly unique. Very Lovecraftian. Due to cheap price there's very little reasons to skip this game. If you are looking for Lovecraftian games, give this a moment. If you are looking for puzzles games, give this a try. If you are interested in comics, this is an interesting interactive comics. It has very little replay value or depth, but so does have a cup of coffee.

Competent art, absolutely brain dead gameplay. Basically, you stumble in a maze full of insta-death traps, and everything is decided randomly. There is not much more to say, since there is really not much the game offers.

Not a bad little game. I enjoyed it a lot, and love the unique art style. I enjoyed that there were multiple endings. Finding all the artifacts was a bit of a struggle, but it at least doesn't take that much time to find them all! A complete run is also very quick once you know what you're doing and what you need to dodge. The price of the game is also pretty spot on, but I would def recommend getting it on sale if you're not into achievements as it doesn't take very long to get all endings and beat the game.

Super short game (took less than 1 hour to finish it) which doesn't have enough content (story or gameplay). Nice art but that's not enough to be a game. Looks more like a demo/pitch

Most of which are not really fun. The map navigation can be fun, but why on earth don't they give you the map from the start? you have to find it by luck, which is not very fair. Once you got the map the maze navigation becomes interesting. Unfortunately, once you've solved two levels and a half the game is already over. The last puzzle is just annoying. It's a pity as some of the graphic animations looked nice.

Becomes quickly repetitive and boring.

First we thought it was WAY too difficult, but once the elements started to come together, we found it really rewarding. Interesting navigation, neat randomization, and puzzles that are far from hard but don't feel too tedious. We're looking at you, slide puzzle! Would recommend as a PC or mobile game.
