Captain Bones : A Pirate's Journey

Captain Bones Review This game is worth keeping an eye on, but do not spend your money on it at this time. The game is just very unpolished. Clearly an early access game, but it is concerning that it is listed as a full release. List of errors, not necessary bugs that I found in he first 60 minutes of playing. Nothing I found was game breaking, but just not a finished game. Should be placed back into early access until the game is more polished. The are numerous spelling errors, not that my spelling is perfect. The animations are very basic and at times, like fishing, annoying. During the "tutorial" the item prompts, display over the tutorial text, making both unreadable. While walking around you will receive a prompt to pick up items even when no items are there. While chopping down trees you can walk away from the tree but continue to chop the tree down. Item hit boxes are strange. During the tutoiral you need to hunt a snake. Mine was near a tree. Not a fun experience. Very glitchy and reached a fullstop glitch at the Sunken Temple mission. If you are looking for a good pirate game besides Black Flag, play the SeaDogs games.

I'm going to give this a thumbs up.. but with some caveats. What i mean by this, is that i thought this was a early access game in its infancy. But now that i have revisited the page and can see posts. It looks like early access extends back to a little over 3 years ago and this is a release. This has bugs i would have expected in an alpha. How can the basic combat still be bugged at this point? I do like the game. The dev is very active in the forums and with offering fixes when they are brought up. But, these shouldn't even be a thought this far along in development in a released game. It's not at the price point it should be. Luckily i was on sale. I'd have been a little miffed with this, had I payed full price. The game is quirky and fun. It has some surprises to it in some of the mechanics. I wasn't expecting the climbing aspect. But, it's only used in like 1-2 locations. It's a very scripted mechanic. But, wasn't expecting it. Same with the jumping from one bridge piece to anot...
