i wish i could progress the game but i cant help but break into every apartment and steal every single object that isnt nailed down. thankfully, i can stop by the rat vending machine for a quick snack between smoking mushroom infused cigarettes and avoiding the hat man living in my walls. take all your savings, and go gambling. you can win 2000% of your money but only lose 100%. its simple math. i am late to my appointment at dr. pena for fungal growth removal. i dont have the money to pay for treatment. i go home, drinking my expensive stolen alcohol collection and pass out on the floor. wake up in a haze realising the hat man has molested me in my sleep again. such is the life of a winner.

About This Game
You're left there to cope with depression, addiction and maybe even a lethal disease. Survival won't be easy, but remember: the only way is up!
Become the landlord of a run-down tenement
Due to a clerical error, you have received full ownership of an unfinished apartment building.
This rat hole is your base of operations for your upcoming empire.
Upgrade and maintain the building to lease apartments for the Obenseuer's quirky inhabitants, and to build facilities for your growing business.
Decorate your apartment and equip your workshop
Time to make those barren, cold, concrete rooms look nice and cozy.
You can purchase and craft various different furnishing and manufacturing tools that you can place around freely.
The building's basement has enough space for a proper factory of your own.
Grow turnips
Despite the darkness, coldness and wetness of a depressing November, practicing agriculture is still possible!
Farm turnips and potatoes, etc., and convert them into liquid gold for a hefty profit.
Considering one of the probable reasons you ended up in Obenseuer in the first place, you'll probably consume at least some of your own refined turnip juice yourself. Also, having something to eat is pretty nice.
Discover dark secrets
As seen earlier, Obenseuer is home to a myriad of weirdos. Quack! And there are plenty more weird, dark things going on.
Do tasks and quests for various locals and discover what is happening beneath the surface in Obenseuer.
The secret ingredient is crime!
Steal, sabotage and break-in. In Obenseuer there are no rules!
Actually... there are, and the jail, run by the local militia, is not a nice place. So don't get caught!

A closed loop exploration game. It's a bit like crackhead Stardew Valley. Lots of secrets to find, lots of grinding to do. Just don't eat the glowing faeces.
Extremely underrated game, can't stop playing. I've been playing for a few hours already and barely scratched the surface. I am seeing that I can really upgrade my tenament a ton, so there's a lot of things to do. I hope there will be ways to upgrade the city overall later, and maybe fully clear it off shrooms and stuff. Amazing game!
The most realistic depression, addiction, poverty and crime simulator ever. Managing your needs makes the game challenging. Having a toilet paper when pooping is important! Life is a constant struggle and there is never feeling of ease, but there are endless fun and creative things to do, much more than in any other game. Renovating a whole building is fun. If you doubt something that it won't exist (because it won't exist in any other game), it is simulated in this one. This game is hard, Dark Souls of simulation games. And there is an interesting plot too, which is not usual in simulators. Mysteries and conspiracies spiced with horror are very interesting. Reminds me of Fallout but without any mercy. It also reminds me of Sims 1 somehow but without any lame relationship simulation which for me it's a plus. The only cons are the loading screens between buildings. And I would love a little bit more lightness in the game like having pets. Not to skin cats alive and keep them at th...
Absolutely by far one of my most favorite games I've played, and I highly recommend picking this game up to support the devs. Not many games that feel this unique in tone and playability - it's certainly a grind, but I've felt invested and have been enjoying the world exploration the entire way. If you enjoy scavenging and want an escape from Tarkov, this is it.
Currently a no for now, until the dev can figure out a better system for progression, as becoming "wealthy" is very very grindy and monotonous, and to have better indicators for your character's needs, so you're not constantly in your inventory tending to them. By the time you reach the end of the current content, the game will give you plenty of methods and currency to farm out a lot of money, but you'll still spend a lot of time running around and waiting for machines to finish. When it comes to the current story, its pacing is alright, but the actual progression of the game is terribly slow and complete RNG with attaining the proper benches and recipes to go with them. You could go into this game and stumble your way into getting your first 2-3 residents, the ones with the easiest, or actual feasible standards, who'll altogether at most pay you 500-700 OC and ~100ish RM a week. Every in-game day takes at least a few hours, so that little amount of money will only come in handy occa...
10/10. One of the only Life-survival/Management Games I've enjoyed to this degree and one that's still in Development. Game is awesome already tons of funny Lore and Quests, with more to come. looking forward to this games full release.
Obenseuer is an intense and captivating action RPG that plunges players into a dark fantasy world teeming with mystery, danger, and intricate combat mechanics. Developed by the indie studio Enkindle Studios, the game draws inspiration from classic dark souls-like titles while carving out its own niche through a blend of fast-paced melee combat, deep customization, and a hauntingly atmospheric narrative. With its challenging gameplay and immersive world design, Obenseuer offers a rewarding experience for players who appreciate demanding combat and exploration in a richly crafted universe. From the outset, Obenseuer sets a grim and foreboding tone. The game’s world is shrouded in decay and despair, populated by grotesque creatures and enigmatic characters whose motives are often unclear. The environments range from shadowy forests and ruined castles to eerie catacombs, each area meticulously designed to encourage exploration while reinforcing the game’s dark fantasy aesthetic. The a...
Found this game because it was on sale and I enjoy management and design type games. I died so fast. Didn't even know why (radiation. oops. didn't know how to turn on the rad detector). Thought this would be some type of dystopian landlord game and it quickly became about survival and no one is even attacking you. Now I am 120 hours in. There's still the decorating and apartment management going on in the game, but the grind to stay alive and explore this crazy environment you've been wrongly (or rightfully) thrown in to is what keeps me hooked. There is a lot to discover and interesting quests to participate in. It definitely could use more explanation about basic functions like taking care of your character and how to use machines. Very buggy too. But this game is still a work in progress and there's so much to do already and even more is going to be added. Very excited for the bazaar. Personal favorite activity: collecting and getting cut by the street cats and releasing them all...
This is my second time around on Obenseuer. The first time was prior to the Mine Update and I'm back again to see what they had dropped and MAN, did they do an amazing job. I'm an odd duck when it comes to survival games because at times I will be min-maxing and others I will just be deep in the grind of nothingness. Thats the amazing thing about this game. I have been able to suck another 140 hours from a new start. I've been doing my best to TRULY take my time and not rush with anything and see how much I can get out of it and its a blast. I can't wait to see what the Devs have in store for future updates. Can't get enough. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
