About the Game

In this game, you're playing as game developer and encounter typical problems like eating and sleeping. You need to correctly allocate your time for human needs, hobbies and work, to live another day as indie developer.

Harsh reality
You dont have thousands of dollars and there aren't a dozen professional developers - you will be trying to achieve everything alone and at minimal cost.

Your way to success
Do you like to make high-quality games or will you succeed at the expense of a loyal audience gained through the promotion of your blog? You decide how you will advance to your goal.

Game topics opening system
You'll have list of ideas and some of them can be mixed together into game topic. Levelling up you gamedesign skill will open new ideas for topics as well.

Skills and character development
Almost all your actions will affect the character and improve his skills (programming, design, marketing, etc.), which will significantly affect the result of your work. Moreover, to open new themes when developing games, you will need to "mix" existing ones to get new ones.

Get better
Improve your apartment, pump your skills, read books, buy more expensive food.

This game is ruined by artifical diffculty. The amount of sheer grinding to even get to the point where you can just make a game is ridiculous (over an hour for me). Cost ratios are terrible. Rent occurs every seven days or so and goes up ridiculously quickly. You get 45 dollar for a task that takes all day, but pizza doesnt even fill you (65/100 hunger) costs 20 bucks and takes one of your six daily action points to accomplish. Energy never hits 100 percent and is capped at 70. Your playable energy level is between 70 and 50 (for the first two hours for me). Every action points takes energy. Coffee costs an action point to make. Getting to the point where you can actually make a game is tedious and such a terrible grind that it's not worth it. Then, you get maybe 100 or so first your first game. I think I got 112 for the first in total sales and 147 for my second game. The game could be fun, but the unrealisitc grind combined with no difficulty levels makes it pretty te...

It's a very interesting game with a beautiful art style, and has a nice game loop. A few small changes would make the existing early access build more managable for me. Especially when playing casually as the game progresses, some of the changes mentioned below would imrpove my experience. I do recommend this game, it's fun, an interesting idea, and I look forward to seeing what the game will become. Hopefully the developer(s) are welcoming of suggestions and feedback as this alone will be the difference in recommending / or not recommending the product in an Early Access state. There are a few issues, such as: when I purcahse books, I can't read them and none of my skills go up, and when I click out of the game to do something else whilst a progress bar is moving up, the game doesn't run in the background. You have to click back in the window to continue gameplay. I would recommend looking into Application.runInBackground, or in Unity build settings, enable "Run In Background" which ...

When i stumbled over this game - it seemed a nice approach to the genre. Even aware that is EA at this point in time it as best a unbalanced - random frustration - due to ingame prices are to high - rent rises to fast - and even after 3 weeks you never started a game development due to trying to stay alive, pay your rent and grinding money with freelance jobs which are giving you almost no revenue to get a decent start. so most time i starve or getting bankcrupt which should be not the case if the patches would target anything of those, even if that would be rebalanced after the game hit a decent point where you could belive it is stable and fine. Until that point reaches there will be no better review.

Although I've given this game a thumbs up, I highly caution people that there is a lot of room for improvement here. The game hasn't really been balanced, there are plenty of errors, and nothing is explained very well. On the other hand, it is fun until you reach a frustrating end. The thumbs up is for the game's potential, and honestly the music and art are right up my alley, and considering they update regularly I'm sure all the gameplay hiccups will get ironed out. If you get easily frustrated by games that still have a lot of room for improvement, you might want to add this to your wishlist and watch it for a while. No reason to buy this game and leave a bad review when you've been warned about the current status.

This game is really laid back and fun to just relax from work. That being said their really isn't much to the game, it is a very basic game.
