About This Game

Anyone can make a bad decision ... right?

Leo, a 19-year old non-binary transperson, wakes up late after a rough night with a pounding headache and no recollection whatsoever of the night before, but with a sense that something really bad might have happened. It’s now up to you to go back in time and explore what triggered the events that night.

The person that has pulled Leo into this situation is the artist Dagger, who six weeks earlier moved into the same communion as Leo. She claims to be part of the secret society Knife Sisters, and she drags Leo into a world of rituals and strange assignments, asking Leo to do things that get more demanding each time. But can Leo really do whatever Dagger says, regardless of the cost?

 • Gender and sexually diverse characters
 • Three main romance/play routes with trans/female characters
 • Five playdates containing kinky consensual sex and BDSM, to explore aspects of being dominant, submissive and switch
 • Dialogue system in sync with conversation as opposed to fixed choices - as well as the opportunity of not making a choice
 • Balance anxiety and essence to keep anxiety in check
 • Different endings based on the choices you’ve made throughout the game

TL;DR at the bottom. Are you gay, and looking for a gay game to play? Then boy oh boy, keep the line moving and stop rubbernecking at this accident. Before I even get into my review let me just provide a rough sketch of the dialogue from the game. You can apply it to anyone, anytime. "Hi, nice to meet you. I come to this club literally every day and have never seen you before. I like BDSM. You look like you do too." "That's a completely normal introduction. I too have never seen you for some story reason. Here's my full name, number and address." "OK, let's bang in 3 days. Don't mind the literal deer carcass in my pocket." "Smells great. OK, I'm giving you an orgasm now. Was that good? OK. My turn." "I'm crying now because I have trauma the game dev will never elaborate on." "This is weird. Let's pick up again in 3 more days. Bye." There, I just spoiled the whole game for you. It was a beautiful chilly October day that I first saw this game and clapped in excitement...

This game had a potential but in my opinion didn't deliver. My main problem with it is that it looks like your choices doesn't matter as much. A couple of examples of what I'm talking about: - I picked every option to get a root with certain someone — but the protagonist still says that they "just like to play" with this person and don't really have any other feelings, and the story still goes as it was, without any turns. - Your best friend told you that they like that one character. You can go talk to them and try to match them with you friend — and suddenly this one character kisses you — you have no say in it and you can't to chose not to. And after that they will go and tell your friend about all this, which really hurts said friend. Thanks you game! - You can't avoid the Dagger root. No matter how you'll try not to take part in any activities with her, you, again, just have no option to say "no" and focus on other characters, you are forced to spend time with her every wee...

Not to be dramatic, but I would protect Vicki with my life. A really well composed visual novel with wonderfully written characters and a very intriguing storyline. I can't wait to see more from the developer in the future!

While playing this game, some weird dog came out of nowhere, hit me with a stick, said "NO HORNY!!! BONK!!", and mysteriously vanished But seriously... well-written game with queer characters and ritualistic BDSM. Wow. I'm seriously glad I own this and can play it whenever I want

The storyline wasn't too appealing. I finished the game but really pushed to finish it to the ends. None of the characters really varied in personality by too much.

Great LGBTQ+ Representation. The story also features shows consenting BDSM which is sadly a rarity in media today.

spoiler free as always (ignore hours, i have been mainly playing a copy i got free from the itch bundle, bought it here to support and to leave this review because i want more folks to play this!) ---------- first playthrough: the more domme route I loved this... it is so rare to get genuine queer, non-binary and trans representation, so ofc I immediately loved how incredibly queer this game is. it's even more rare to get genuine BDSM representation, so I was stoked when I stumbled across this among the itch queer bundle I got recently. So, something I've been thinking about a lot lately is the dynamic between character and player agency, and how so often there is too much focus on player agency, making a lot of relationships in games feel strange or out-of-place, and at worst plain bad, like: "do A, B, C, D & then you acquire this person" kinda bad. So, I truly appreciate when game devs try to find ways to balance out these issues in relationship game-ifying. So in this VN, You pl...

Knife Sisters was a fantastic journey, though it somehow managed to fry my brain after playing 3 hours straight. This game intimately understands how to portray trans and non-binary people in a fairly ideal setting. Pushing all the dark themes and trauma aside for a moment: This game imagines a world that has mostly moved beyond modern quibbles about gender presentation. Otherwise, the game has had me questioning and doubting myself. Half remembering details, feeling deep confliction, truly not knowing how deep I've swim until it's too late. Fucking all the good stuff I had up for... Reasons. I both envy and pity Leo. And I love every second of it. Knife Sisters 2 when? Please? I will beg...
