About This Game

Know a bargain when you see one?

Sift the gems from the garbage - and you could make it big!

Play as an upcoming bargain hunter looking to make your fortune turning "trash" into cash!
Beginning with just a few bucks, aim to become fabulously wealthy... or go bust trying!

- Starting off in your shabby house with a rusty old car in the garage, you'll visit lawn sales, thrift stores, flea markets and antiques dealers as you try to hunt down that bargain that could make it BIG! You can even visit the beach for some metal detecting!

- From teapots to teddy bears and vases to violins, there's a huge array of items to choose from!

- Want to try your hand at haggling? See if you can strike a deal with each of the sellers you meet! Every character features immersive voice acting to help you feel like you're really there!

- Inspect items to discover any damage or special features they might be hiding... but don't get too eager, or you might tick off the vendor and blow the whole deal!

- When you're ready to see just how much your finds are worth, head down to the salerooms for nailbiting auction action! You'll hear and see the auctioneer selling off your loot to the highest bidder, hopefully bringing you in a tidy profit... but watch out, it could also be a crashing loss!

- Don't expect the auction house to go easy on you, though! If you bring in junk, the valuer will toss it back at you!

- Mess up too many times, and you'll soon be swamped with bills piling high... bankruptcy lurks just around the corner!

- But get it right and you'll be raking in the profits, improving your home, upgrading your car and buying ever more expensive rarities before you know it!

Can you trade your way to the top?

Fortune - or failure - awaits in the wheeling-and-dealing world of Bargain Hunter!

This game is strangely addictive. Not sure how many hours I put on it, likely in the 40-60 range. It is difficult to find the right thing to buy, and sometimes a crap shoot at the auction. But you eventually learn what usually sells for a good price. Watch out for counterfeit merch, although it is near impossible, as far as I can tell, to know before you buy it. On to the story of why I stopped playing, and cannot recommend this game. It took going bankrupt several times to start figuring out which items were more reliably sellable at auction; Furniture, chess sets, cutlery, typewriters, sewing machines, etc... Once I figured it out, it was pretty easy to maintain and slowly build my bankroll. As you have bills that pop up sporadically. Electricity ~$50, food ~$15, internet ~$20 things like that. I got hit with medical bills of $300 at one point. I was able to soak that and move one. Then... After several ingame days and many real life hours, I worked my bankroll up to ...

I have been following this game for quite a long time and frankly I love the concept of the game. I like the graphics, I like the base game play, but there are some major problems with the game that need tweaked. Gas and Grocery's- Yes you got to eat and fuel your car, love the idea just needs to be changed. You must pay for gas what seems like every two days or two drives and food 3 times a week for roughly 75 dollars a week to start, but you don't know when this is coming so you can't plan for it. This is half of your start money and with half of the items costing 20 dollars or more you can be SOL real quick. This could be fixed with a weekly gas bill that you know is coming or with a start vehicle of a bike. This likes to happen to me the day before the auction forcing me to sell my items that are in the auction making a bigger problem. Also if I only have 10 dollars to my name why am I buying 20 dollars worth of food. The auction- The Auction itself is fine no problems for me t...

this game is fun but they need to fix a few things in this game because when your going to places to buy items and your inspecting them the sales clerks at the garage or donation shop gets angry with you and tells you to stop poking or looking at the item so i can never get to see or unlock all the ? marks hidden things about the item so how about putting in a shop that allows you to get someone to examing the item you have brough to see if it can incress the price you get when selling it also it would help to know the diffence between the two auction genral and the other one and what items could be sold in each auction would be nice to know this game has poental but its just not quite there needs a lot of work

I really like the idea of this game but it's too hard. It takes forever to save up money because of weekly/monthly bills and then it can disappear instantly from a surprise bill. If the bills were less even slightly, it would be a lot easier to continue playing this game. I feel like I've gotten no where in the 8 hours I played.

I love this game. It's a very simple concept but so one-of-a-kind that it stands out for me. I really enjoy the randomness of what you will find and trying to guess whether the item will make money at the auction or not. It's a really neat game.

Game is not worth the price, even after discount. Maximum price in current conditions I would pay is 3EUR. Mechanism is broken. After 5 hours lost in game, I was able to uncover only the flee market. The costs increase disproportionately versus profits. Only some staff can bring more than 100$ or whatever money is in the game. I do not recommend until developers will improve the mechanism, as for the time beeing, the game mechanics is extremally poor.

It's pretty basic, repetitive and strangely addictive! As with most of these "buy then sell for a profit games", it's too difficult at the start and too easy when you have made enough money. Even so, it managed to keep me playing for far too long so I have to give it a thumbs up.

Yeah so after over 6 hours in this game I am super over it. I loved the idea but you go to the stores and there are like 6 items for sale. After awhile it seems to be the same boring items. Then you make a little money but not enough to keep your head afloat or even fix your pos car or pos house. This game is very broken.

**This review has been edited, see below the original review, and the updated below that**A very addictive game that has more flaws than thought possible, initially starts out fun until the RNG of Bills hits and takes you out, or the system decides that actually your "Stats" from furnature have 0 importance, and going to the beach is about as fun as actually going to the beach, when its winter and pigeons dumped everywhere. want to waste your time, get it, want something worth playing and remembering, avoid. ** Previously i stated tldr: skip Actually adfter playing again either there was a stealth update, or perhaps i judged the game to critically, sure some things are a bit Huh, and somethings like hte beach do not really do anything, but it is a smooth experience at least If its cheap, get it cus it will provide many hours of loosing time.
