I was on the fence on this one. It looked childish and yet fun. Well it most definitely is childish. The story and dialogue is just not entertaining enough so I end up skipping most of it. But it has a great style and it did get a few small chuckles from me. And the tower defense game sections are really good. It really makes me feel like I am playing an old newgrounds game in vr. It started off easy buy quickly got challenging. I can only assume I will get more stuff to unlock as I progress further. I wanted to keep playing last night when it was time to go to bed. Update. So I upgraded my gun to see weak spots...and this apparently broke the game. every enemy is now basically a one hit kill..even the dinosaur boss only takes a few hits to kill now. Its too easy now..way way too easy. I am starting a new game in hopes of keeping the challenge alive. No extra levels or game modes makes this not such a worthwhile game. ,,,Update again. A few more levels in and ye...

About the Game
A truly first-person tower defense, designed for VR:This is not your diorama-style VR tower defense. This time you’re going to have to move all over the map, hammer away to upgrade your towers, throw over-powered chanclas recklessly and shoot electric beams from weaponized pizza at your enemies. Fight from the front lines!
Not the hero we wanted, but the one we got stuck with:
After the whole squad sent by the World Treaty for Freedom (WTF) got fried by a burrito-related explosion, it’s on Elliott Salazar, the cartoon-obsessed facility technician and the only survivor, to save Earth. There’s a new captain onboard: Captain ToonHead!

Take control of your towers:
Take manual control of a tower to project lethal beams of hot sauce from your hands, ignite infinite heat-seeking fireworks, irresponsibly spray a snowball machine gun, shoot rays from electrified pizza slices or unleash a piñata blitz over your enemies.
Balance action and strategy:
You're going to do a lot of shooting, that’s for sure, but shooting alone will not defeat the waves of Cyberchickens, punks and Terra-sharks. You’re going to have to combine those Piñata towers and chancla throws in a very strategic way if you want to save more Enercubes and destroy the EarthRadicator-1000.

User Reviews
I think this is the Persona 5 of VR games, it has a lot of style!
I've only put a half hour or so into the game as of this review but I wanted to do what I could to spread the support for it. It's an interesting blend of high production values but also complete and total batshit lunacy wrapped up in a super tight Tower Defense Strategy game. Self-publishing this could not have been easy for the developers but the end result is something to absolutely not be missed. I don't want to ruin any details about the weapons or the enemies but this is the kind of high quality chaos that VR needs so much more of right now. The graphics are sharp and the game pumps out completely bonkers concepts on repeat like it's nothing. I love VR strategy games and this one absolutely blows the rest out of the water. Buy it and love it, it's just that easy.
god this is fun if you enjoy fps and tower defence games grab this NOW no joke this shit is fire
Great game! I just wish it was not so expensive. Current asking price at the time of this writing is $25 USD. I'll pick it up again if it goes on Sale with steep discount during the upcoming Christmas sale.
i got this game on oculus and the quest and im really enjoying the game as i love tower defence games but i cant get my quest 2 controllers to work on the steam version its really frustrating has anyone eles had this problem?
Realized it is not available for Valve Index. Looks cool. Wish it was :(
This game is super addictive, challenging, silly, and so much fun. You can tell that the developers put a lot of "heart" into this. IMO this is one of the best VR tower defense games available. I had been hoping for a VR version of Plants vs Zombies for years ( Love that game), realized that that it probably isn't going to happen, and found Captain ToonHead as a recommendation on a VR gaming site. I'm so glad that I did. It's one of my favorite VR games overall. ( Defense Grid 2 VR is a favorite too.) I hope that the developers continue to update it.
I got this game in a bundle and wasn't really expecting much going in, but wow! This game is a lot of fun. Tower Defense in VR but you can also help out by shooting your own weapons, using your own abilities, and even taking control of your turrets. It's awesome. The movement is pretty clunky but if you can look past that you're going to have a great time.
I never knew this game existed until I decided to search for Tower Defense games on Steam. It's a shame I didn't discover it sooner. Too many VR games feel like half-baked demos. This feels like a nice, full, finished game, and it's really fun to play. Some things are a little grating, like the humour and the fact that the main turret makes fireworks noises when it fires, but it's a very fun experience. Recommened!
