Somehow prefer this game over far cry 5, gameplay loop is better, tho story is garbage.

Had to finish the story once again, before writing this review. Finished it back in 2019-2020 on PS4. The game is awesome. I been always thinking this is worst Far Cry game, but thats not entirely true. This is awesome game. Its kinda like FC5 and FC6, which is understable. After all, this was made between these 2. Best way to enjoy this game, is easily to play this after you finished Far Cry 5. It gives you so much emotions. It was perfect back at 2019-2020 when i did it. I love the expedition missions in this game, the rank systems are so nice. The stealth kills are SO satisfying. The animations for that are so cool. Like Darksiders Genesis; this title branched off from the franchise in an undesirable way. Arcade-y and in one word...."blaring"?...

Literally Far Cry 5 but they ruined all the parts that made it good. The villains are garbage compared to Joseph Seed (arguably the only reason to play this game), the twins are easily the most obnoxious cookie-cutter raider villains I've ever seen. In a series known for its great villains its a major disappointment. Weapons and vehicles (most of which are practically ripped straight from Far Cry 5 minus the customization) are locked behind a tier system which I DESPISE, it forces you to use what works rather than what you want to use. On top of that you have to collect resources to upgrade these tiers, which is clearly low effort busywork to pad out play time. The map is just Far Cry 5 with most of the interesting locations gone and covered in neon pink vomit. Half of the UI I immediately turned off upon getting into the game. This felt nothing like previous far cry games. I really wanted to like it but it is a chore to play. Bulletsponge enemies, a horrid rpg system for a game where it doesn't fit? You got it all right here. if I could refund it I would. Go buy a few indie games instead of this pile of muck.

fun game to play co-op with someone, game is decent at best and quite short. buy only when deeply discounted, not worth the full price.
