I paid for this game not sure what to expect, and its a good value. Despite its chibi aesthetic, gameplay is actually very deep. It doesn't control like a normal driving game so it takes some getting used to, but once you get the hang of the controls its a great game thats definitely worth the time to learn how to play. I also want to emphasize that its a genuinely unique game because of its depth because there is stuff happening in the air and on the ground at the same time, and the relatively steep learning curve to the controls offers much better maneuverability once mastered. I would play with the settings and options to configure the control scheme to your liking before jumping head first. Take the time to read the tutorial or else you'll be lost for 5 minutes like I was. There is a lot going on here and it challenges the mind and reflexes very well. Its definitely worth trying out, its something different.

Awesome MOBA airplane game that requires you to be in control of a constantly moving plane utilizing guns, missles, bombs, flares, all while managing your throttle, flight path, and projectile trajectory. The controls took a bit to get used to (keyboard player), but once you get a hang of it, its very rewarding. Its pointless to talk about this game's draw backs since it just hit early access and the developer constantly rolling out monster sized updates. For something that was made by such a small team i'm impressed, the art, plane design, animations are awesome, but the game's sound track really tops it off. With the gaming market being over saturated with so many products, give it a chance, and experience something truly new, fresh, different, unique, and exciting. This is a one of a kind diamond in the rough and can't wait to see what it becomes.

I was able to play-test the game some during the Alpha, about a week before the Beta launch. The developers were incredibly responsive to bug reports as I mentioned problems I was able to recreate on their discord. The game improved quite a bit in the short time that I was able to play the Alpha, including a tier 3 plane being added for me to test. I picked up the game after Beta release and continue to enjoy the game. I feel it would be much more than a player would be expecting from the cute planes and first looks at the game. Considering how deep and involved the game is, I feel it's actually very worth it's price. It's a new take on a MOBA game, that I don't feel I've seen before. I had little to no flight-simulator game experience before this, except limited flying options in FPS games, so controlling an aircraft that can turn upside down was a little tough at first. However, the game options offers a number of ways to help new and novice players learn to control their plane. I ...

Skyraid game play is a mix of old-school top down airplane shooter with RTS/MOBA elements. There are many different planes, weapons, and countermeasures available and the in-game merit system is unique and interesting, I was an alpha and beta tester so I got to witness the addition of many features through it's development. Being from an independent developer, Skyraid never got the front page marketing it deserved, and I truly believe when people get the chance to hear about and play this game, it will catch on in a big way. I highly recommend picking this game up or at least adding it to your wish list. This is a sleeper title. Mark my words.

An indi mash between dota/LoL and 1944 (arcade vertical scroller for the NES) with war thunder planes. Lots of fun and very challenging. I can see a lot of future potential, improvements and additions to this game being added. It's an early access from a 2 man team so its an investment in the future of the game so keep that in mind. Keep an eye on patch notes, I've adopted a lot of indi games in early access (eg. rimworld), i see potential in this game. Steering your plane is tricky at first but i really liked it. Note: in settings there is Novice and Expert steering. start with novice but once you get comfortable switch to expert so you can make sharper turns and evade bullets in dogfights.

A Cool Game 😎👍 A Menu that Makes Me Smile 🙂 When the game first launches and delivers you to its opening menu screen, you're greeted with a cool remix of the "Top Gun" theme song, which sounds like it was recorded from an electric guitar; it's really impressive. Note: This will not be the last time I talk about the game's music. 🙂 Options: The first thing I always do when booting up a new game is to dive into its options screen to learn what I can configure and to get an idea of the control layout. This game's options screen gives you a good variety of choice: from expert or novice control type (though an explanation between this difference is not mentioned on the option screen), to crosshair & map orientation, standard audio & video settings (some of which, like super sampling, go over this native console gamer's head 😅), and a configurable control layout. The Arsenal ✈️: Within this menu are 14 different aircraft (as of this review date), each with different s...

Such a great and easy game to pick up, if you like fast paced MOBAs with low respawn time, and skill based mechanics, this is a really good find. The vehicle progression makes the game entirely different towards the end as you begin to buy newer models of aircraft. The jet powered planes are so much fun!

skyraid is a lot like some kind of old school shooter thats been mashed up with some modern mechanics, some familiar and some new. theres not much of a player base at the moment but i dont see that as a reason not to support the game if you like what it offers (and theres not much else like it). ive had a few games with the folks from discord and its pretty fun, just know you're joining a small community that supports an even smaller dev team, but the game is surprisingly deep. Lets try to help the smaller devs and not look at the reskinned junk that the big companies just churn out for profit.
