Very neat game! The way it does non-linear storytelling while changing the gameplay in each section is pretty cool and the pixel art is gorgeous. It was a fun way of alternating storytelling, puzzles and combat without overloading the game.
I'm not sure I got every detail of the story and the ending, but I did enjoy it. I do think it was kinda weird for a game that was purely gameplay most of the time to end with such a huge cutscene that felt like it could be gameplay too.
this game was actually so amazing i dont even know, the story was amazing, the art was insane, everything was just perfect.
Beautiful pixel art, particularly the color and animation work. Some of the puzzles and sequences were satisfying. But I cannot recommend this game for a few big reasons. The gameplay isn't very fun, and the ending is a half hour cutscene that slowly explains the utter tragedy of the game's story. Before that you have no idea what's going on. The English voice work is quite bad. And I just can't get behind this level of child endangerment. As a father, it was everything I could do to finish this very short game. I just hated seeing a kid in such realistic, miserable trouble. I kept taking long breaks, and while playing I couldn't wait for it to be over. Not sure why I saw it through... Maybe I hoped for a resolution. It's there, but it's too little too late for my tastes.
I... I not sure if I can find the words. This game... it just... works. The actual gameplay mechanics are simple but sweet, they work like you'd expect them to and are actually quite satisfying in some cases. The puzzles are more or less pretty easy to follow, and the game has a very clear general direction to it. But the big part, the story... never have I ever seen such a dynamic and emotional story in video games- hell, in general! It perfectly balances having a good gameplay experience while also wrenching your heart straight out of our chest and jamming a old rust pipe through it. This is the first video game that has ever brought me to tears. The story is about pain, but it is also about love, about struggle, about resilience, about the will to keep going despite it all. For a person who went through a rough patch in life, the story kinda hit a little harder than I thought, but in a good way. In a way that made me think that it was going to be ok, that you can make it through des...
This game is a bit of platforming, puzzle solving and a little action, depending which character you play. Pretty standard fare. What got me... the music is SUBLIME. That and art style, the somber dark atmosphere,,,, and the STORY! Without going into spoilers, it's about pain and loss and resilience. By the time I finished the game, I was thoroughly moved by each scene and ending and how it all tied together. The emotions, the fear, the sadness, even symbolic horror... all connected into a soul-moving epic representation of what makes a truly excellent game. Well done.
It is a pretty good story game. Main story is about 2-3 hours in length. Not very popular of a game though, so looking for guides might be hard.
Story over gameplay, not my thing
Enjoyed it a lot.
simply amazing
Hidden Gem! INMOST has a very unique way of telling it's story that I haven't seen much of that you should experience for yourself. It has very simplistic yet beautiful art style that pulls you in, with a fantastic soundtrack. INMOST isn't very long but has a lot packed into it with multiple stories puzzles, platforming, combat, and hidden meanings. It's one of those games that I think of quite often it definitely left a mark. Great game, high recommend.
