Its good but I feel having ammo was a mistake, The only reason my runs end is because I run out of ammo and have to wait for my one "infinite ammo" weapon to recharge which is really slow, then try to fight off the horde of blue and red enemies that have spawned sends the flow of the game to a painful grind.

Mist Hunter is a game in which I purchased expecting an interesting roguelike experience with very different mechanics and interesting map layouts. What I got instead, however, differed. Let's talk about the main mechanic: the antidote system. Basically, you have this space cancer that can only be sustained by collecting antidote cans that make sure you don't fucking die. And, honestly, it might have been able to work. However, the fact that the game wasn't built around it makes it super tedious to break up the action and find some shitty antidote. The antidote system really weakens the game, and the weapons (a good amount are either really piss poor or outmatched by others) are sectioned to being useful to certain enemies. Not only that, but the enemies are goddamn damage sponges. No matter how many times you take a picture of them or bash their brains out with a baseball bat, they just don't die. It's a hassle switching between four elements or "mists" to kill certain monsters. Pur...

Don't let these positive reviews fool ya...just joking, this game is amazing. Real simple break down for a real simple game, you are in a battle arena and you defeat the really colorful magical AI like zombies, the rounds get harder every wave. You have 4 slots for 4 different guns, it runs real smooth, feels fantastic...it's a classic retro but modern (if that makes sense) feel that makes it unique and fresh...I love colorful games and this does it for me on that level...Very good game and worth the price. I say...GO FOR IT!

So far I have only put 0.6 hours into the game like many of the other reviewers have, but I can assure you that those are the best 0.6 hours spent in a game. The game is fast paced, with a good soundtrack, colorful and amazing combat. I wouldn't call it a Doomish game, I would rather put it out there with immortal redneck or more likely Ziggurat. 2 games that i absolutly love, the game has a skill tree so there are light rpg elements, plus during your run you lvl up and can pick one of three perks or bonuses call them what you will, that increase different stats etc. Like I said so far I have had a blast in this game, so if you are hessitant wether or not you should pick it up now or wait for release, I would say pick it up now give feedback to the devs cause so far they have made an AMAZING game.

This game has no soul, and its ugly as hell. You have to use specific weapon to kill a specific enemy, which is a good for for the first 4 seconds, after that they come in groups, and you cannot just shoot a group itself with several weapons.

This game makes my hands bleed. But I'm thoroughly enjoying the pain. It's not without issues and takes time to get the hang of it. The interface is clunky and not very intuitive. Worth checking out if you like games like Ziggurat and Immortal redneck.

Just slightly above average really. Gameplay is good, but I don't feel enticed to do anything crazy because the combo counter is bland. Health drops don't promote you fighting, rather running away, and the antidote mechanic meant to make you stay in the fray doesn't work and also just makes you run away.

This game is really fun, except for the ammo and the stupid antidote. I can get past it, but it's just annoying, I wish there was a gamemode where you could turn that shit off. Still a great ass game that I love though, hope to see some updates soon

indie cross-over between Doom and rogue-likes, fast-paced, colorful and difficult. Music has Dance with the Dead vibe, so it's a big plus for me. Too much of different interfaces and not clear progression choices for me, but I definitely gonna check out the updates, the game has a lot of potential.

Wish this game had modding support or something more, because after a while the game becomes boring, which sucks because i like the wave based format with upgrades, one of the main issues i have with the game is that the enemy health scaling is ridiculous, at a certain point you cannot kill them unless you have the right ammo, and ammo gets very sparse as you get later in the game, i feel like this game needs a level editor or some sort of custom way to play around with the fun mechanics in the game, I feel like i cannot recommend this with the lack of content and little variety (in respects to weapons and what you can use)
