For 2 bucks it's a nice game. But it is just a city builder. Thats all. This game really miss some chalenges. You can build wall, but why when there are any raider or enemies at all. You refuse to pay tax, well there are no consequences. There is only one real challenge - you have to build hundreds of Toolshops because this workshop is extremelly slow and you need thousands of tools. This game is missing proper tutorial. Some thing are unlogical - for example you unlock some new building in tech tree - but you can not build them... you even don't see these building in build windows. Well, you have to buy slave first to unlock new building. Great. And I played for as egyptian, unlocked theatre tech tree and there are no theatre buildings at all. Actually whole tech tree is quite strange, you never know what tech will you unlock next. Also working with slaves is pain in the a.. You can select one slave or all of them. Developer probably never played ago of empire :) And your own people a...

Really difficult to understand the mechanics of the game, tried for half an hour, could not make me happy. but as of now, I felt it boring and lacking in tutorial/ information/guide. I wish to have 25 hours of happiness considering the amount. but, got tired and bored in half an hour. Considering the game can still be modified for ease of use, I will revisit next month for sure. then might change my review.

Probably the best value game on steam for less than 5 bucks. Fully fleshed out city builder that is very relaxing to play. Makes me feel like an ancient king.

It's a great idea to put this game on steam. 7/10 needs achievements.

Unplayable. The houses of scribes that I have built have idle workers. My progress has stalled from the start. I wish you had put My Colony on steam. You really need to focus on bug fixes before anything. I turned of rendering colonists. Still it doesn't work. I put simulation on Perfect mode. The workers need to be more automatic. Colonists need to be fixed overall. I would really recommend this game after the bug fixes, but both in My Colony and this game, it just doesn't happen. The developer told me the bugs are incredibly hard to fix because this game is assembled with a bunch of scripts or something. Well, there you have the problem; this game needs to be recoded entirely. I'm waiting.... [Edit] I downvoted this game before, because I was frustrated by the bugs which need fixing. I restarted the game and built more scribes. Once the research started I got to enjoy the game more. The graphics are pretty cool and the gameplay is similar to My Colony, which is one of my favourite ...

For 3 dollars, you can get a ton more time and entertainment out of it than the cost of the game. As someone who is a fan of their other game on steam (My Colony) I did get the hang of it pretty quick as the mechanics are a bit similar but still different. Unlike My Colony, currently there is no multiplayer/online feature and not sure if there will be one. I feel this game would be amazing if that was ever to become a thing. It is very rare for there to be multiplayer/social features (which are optional in My Colony) in a city builder. One thing to keep in mind is growing is a lot slower than My Colony (which is actually pretty fast). The longest part is getting resources to do things. However (at least as Rome) there is a lot of buildings to unlock and researches. It can also be confusing to some because there isn't too much a tutorial. But its pretty easy to learn at least for me. The creator(s) do update the game a lot, even though Antiquitas isn't as popular as My Colony (which...

Basic builder game with 3 unique cultures and different landscapes to build upon. Overall great value for game type. Since it is in the early stages I am going to list difficulties I have and hope the developers take note. -Grain fields to don't appear with an artic environment-can't build things that require grain if I have none -Needs a separate, specific, cleared area for servants to appear after purchase they are difficult to find since the slavery is one of the first buildings purchased and is usually in the middle of a city. -Need a separate builder servant, that is all they do, I have had issues of the game refusing to build items, example having 31 storehouses and only ten being built (no reason, plenty of resources, etc. ) -There are difference between the cultures and should be a tutorial or section explaining them. I will be adding/subtracting from my list as I play. I recommend the game and hope to see others play it. A feature to screen shot your finished community and s...

The game is good but far from being great. The game has many bugs mostly small ones but is quite enjoyable. I would say the biggest thing you probably will like about the game is modding. There is an editor included which allows you create your own custom maps. I think the other issue is there needs to be more countries then just 3. You should be able to upgrade the buildings as well.
