No photo mode in a game like this is criminal, especially when you get an invitation to the "Haus".

Well... what can you say. Its finally here. The baby is born after 10 years of pregnancy, its healthy but sadly not very bright. It's a solid game and if you enjoy beating zombies to re-death you're going to have a lot of entertainment. In comparison to other installments of this kind I can't recommend buying it though. Except for the body builder bride nothing got stuck in my memory. It is ok in many aspects but it doesnt excel at anything, and when you take Dead Island 1 or Riptide, or Dying light, for example, you feel that many strong points of those games didnt find their way into this one. Moreover, Dead Island 2 quite abandoned the horror theme and took a more humorous approach to zombies and survival. Compared to classics like Dead Rising it doesnt really manage to be funny, however. Some critics say, for example, that it went woke. I thought that it rather tried to play with newer and older stereotypes. You have an old classy actor or a forgetfull older rockstar on one side,...

It was worth the wait. Dead Island 2 is very fun. The game seems too easy in the beginning but getting overconfident and facing more zombies and special zombies later in the game shows it can go south quickly if you are not paying attention. Gore and weapons are super fun and even though every character can be customized they still have their intended way to play; for example some characters prefer to block rather than dodge and their skill cards reflect this. Guns come in somewhat late but are also super fun and finding new weapon types and unlocking and trying new weapon mods feels rewarding as well. Easy recommend if you liked Dead Island or are up for a Zombie FPS Game.

Stays stuck on the "Connecting to Epic Online" screen and you cannot skip it. Buy this game on the Epic launcher if you want it to work I guess. Very disappointing for such a new game.

My only complaint is I wish there was more firearms... other than that, great game.

Man I am not sure how to leave a review for this game, first all I love the series and was stoked when two got a release date but for the first month i couldn't even launch the game. After going back and forth with there support i did not get it working until about four months later i was messing around with the tasks and found the culprit the game was hanging on startup do to the EPIC Online Services task. After killing the task the game would finally launch. Now I play the DI series via Co-Op and this game play and story wise wasn't as good as the first one and Riptide. Clunky boring quests, crappy Epic weapons and the card system sucked. But worse then all of that is the fact that we couldn't complete the ARK or SOLA quest as they would crash the game immediately upon completing them. We did each one 6 and 7 times respectively and every time they crashed regardless of all the different workarounds we found online. What an absolute disappointment of a game and the death of a s...

Meh. Not the worst but not the best. Urgently in need of difficulty settings, the current gameplay is way too easy. At one point i stopped upgrading, cards, gear, everything, and it didn't affect the game difficulty a bit.

1. The story line is not the greatest. 2. combat is clunky and repetitive. Work hard to clear an area and in a matter of a minute or less that same area is repopulated. Also zombies spawn right next to you. 3. Locked doors and gates are enough to drive you crazy. You spend to much time trying to find keys, key cards, fuses or breaker boxes etc. just to get through said doors or gates; it's VERY annoying, in fact, you're surprised if a door or a gate actually opens for you. I could go on and on, but, yeah, not a super fan of this one.

Surprisingly good for a game in development hell for almost a decade. Great soundtrack, decent voice acting, decent writing and story doesn't drag on for too long. Combat is fun and visceral with lots of sandbox elements and customisation. Looking forward to sequel or more content.

I enjoyed the first Dead Island, which makes Dead Island 2 even more disappointing. There is nothing worthwhile here. The gameplay feels clunky from the start. Combat is repetitive and dull, with most melee weapons feeling terrible to use. Guns are somehow even worse, so ineffective they might as well not exist. The game recycles the same three puzzle types throughout the entire campaign, and the world is littered with locked doors and safes that require keys you will never bother to track down, because the rewards simply are not worth the time. Multiplayer is no better. Character animations look like they are running at 3 FPS, and when two players attack the same zombie, the enemy skips around so badly that it is almost impossible to land hits reliably. The story is somehow worse than the gameplay. The dialogue and voice acting are painful, and the ending is nothing more than a lazy setup for a sequel. In the end, Dead Island 2 is shallow, repetitive, and disappointing.
