This game shouldn't even be out for beta yet...it is sorely lacking in just about every aspect of a survival game. Most notably, a complete lack of descriptions for any item in the game. Once you build something...there's no way to undo it, if you plant corn and harvest it...the stalks stay there uselessly. I've had multiple failures on reloading saved games, often with a loss of all that was built. Crouching doesn't seem to have any impact on whether or not your prey sees you. Overall, a very disappointing game, it requires much more before any releasing at all.

It fun but needs more content, hope they will start working harder on this.It a basic game of survival. No complex building like some.I like the idea of taming animals.

2nd review, key bindings are a lot better now, so its playable, concept for the game is good, would likec to see key bindings put into the game like other games eg a menu you can access in game with the key options,Dont like the present idea of default keys on screen on the left side, Think the default should be where the input setup up is before you load the game, over all give it a go

I have to be honest and say I was very nervous about buying this game. But rest assured it has been a very good investment. Now, down to business; Pros - Very relaxing style of game play. Extremely well optimised, obviously due to a more basic graphic quality. Not a single crash and no game breaking bugs yet to be seen. Almost instant load times (very important for someone who is time poor like myself). User friendly UI. Good balance of animals and AI, to keep you busy with hunting and defending. Updates are still coming. Cons - Not the best visuals, but it doesn't spoil the game-play. Enemy tribesmen are very badly designed and have poor ...

I’ve played both Single and Multiplayer on this game and enjoyed both. There were a few teething problems when we first tried Multiplayer but a brief message to the Dev and things were sorted very quickly!! The building is nice, especially after the recent updates where you get a choice of the type of wood you can use to build. I like how you can tame animals, especially when playing Single Player, having a wolf by your side is very helpful. If you’re considering buying this game, keep in mind that it IS early access. It gets enough updates to keep it both interesting and enjoyable. I highly recommend TOW, especially as I know it has so much potential, plus a Developer who’s dedicated to making a quality game.

First review of anything. I like Trials of Wilderness. It's got the survivor stuff done well with some good stuff of its own. Developer seems conscientious. Just got raising animals down. Bad: How-to-play is inadequate. Kind of a lot to figure out. The old, "It's more fun, if you figure it out for yourself." Animal and human threats are a little too much mosquito level. I understand this has already been adjusted one. Killer pets are needed. Threats are much too hard to hit, if you are not the guy who made it. Clunky construction. Limited building adjustments. Building an animal pen is a bit of a pain. Do not have pen and your base touching. Good: Pretty much everything else. Nice originality in a concept that needs a little fine tuning maybe, and that seems to be happening. It's gonna cost a lot more later.
