Bubsy: Paws on Fire!

Sadly, it feels like a less-good version of Bit.Trip Runner.

I went into this game knowing that I would dislike it due to it being a Runner game, which I don't like, but it's actually quite a bit worse than I expected. The level design is pretty mediocre for the first two worlds, then it gets ridiculously difficult in World 3, and it's very unfair, requiring either top level reaction time or multiple playthroughs to collect all the yarn and token pieces. Aesthetically, there's nothing wrong with the game, but it feels bland because the levels all seem to blend together due to reusing the backgrounds. Gameplay was pretty alright, but I didn't like the Arnold levels, they remind me of Sonic Heroes' Special Stages, and that's a terrible thing to be reminded of. Boss Battles were really weird. The first one had Bubsy take over the ship for whatever reason, the second one used his standard gameplay, and the final boss used both. Phase 2 of the final boss was really annoying though, if you're even a little off, you're probably going to die either ...
