This game was great a year or two ago and now they've completely changed it with their 2.0 update, enemies are now damage sponges and your stamina is also your health bar, the new enemy types are frustrating to deal with and the armor system is gone. You can't even choose between different weapons anymore, its just lame.

About This Game
EXPERIENCE INTENSE COMBAT
Fight against 5 different enemy types across 3 unique levels, each presenting unique gameplay opportunities. Your Health is a precious resource, as it is consumed by attacking your enemies but can be regained quickly if those attacks are successful. Tougher enemies will deal more damage, but will reward you with more health - if you defeat them. You must be both aggressive and efficient in order to survive.
UTILIZE FREEDOM OF MOVEMENT
You may be outnumbered, but you possess advanced movement capabilities which will give you an edge over your adversaries. Whether you need to create some extra breathing room or reach a pesky archer, you can traverse the environment as necessary.

User Reviews
Gladio has a satisfying gore mechanic and unique fighting system. The game does have its issues though, blocking sometimes does not activate at all and kicking sends enemies through the map or past the invisible wall where I cannot reach them, forcing me to restart. Overall this game is a blast and it will surely develop further into an awesome game in the future, but for now you should avoid kicking! Recommendations: -More weapons and maybe a shield -The ability to mix and match armor -The option to choose which enemies spawn -More enemy types -Reduce kicking power or kill enemies automatically outside arena 8.5/10
it was a cool physics based arena game with a neat armor system but then the update came out and its an inferior overgrowth
First iteration of this game was admittedly barebones, but the combat system felt right. With the 2.0 update, everything changed. No more arena (Making the game's name redundant), a much less interesting combat system (With health and stamina on the same bar for some puzzling reason), and a suddenly dead development cycle... What a misfire! Hopefully this game will return to some of what made it so addicting, but for now leave it alone and observe it from a distance. You know, if it isn't dead.
>health and stamina are the same thing so dashing kills you >enemy AI isn't interesting >your one option to attack is a directional sword swing so the combat gets stale very fast >difficulty curve starts high, you have to waste a few minutes dying before you even begin to understand the mechanics I could see this game being interesting if there was some nuance to the gameplay. I only played for a couple minutes but I saw some cool things, specifically animations and effects, but as it is the combat is unfun. I can hardly tell when I've been hit from behind, enemies feel too healthy, and overall this game fails to feel satisfying.
Amazing game! Love every part of it, just needs more development to be perfect! Would reccomend buying to anyone who like melee strategy games.
This game needs some work done on it but i think it has the potential to be something great! The only issue seems is that the enemies are getting hit on parts of the body that are not armoured and not dying but thats rare. And that whenever a enemy has no body armor on but a helmet, a overhead strike would still cut them in half despite the helmet. 4188 plz fix but dont ruin <3
Sorry but you NEED to add a borderless window option LIKE NOW
Im gonna say no to this game. Animations are nice and the gamestyle is different. That being said the mechanics are delayed and most of the time dont work. Im not looking for a fast hack and slash but at least put up the sword to block. Game is fun if you can look past the mechanics of the game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L04SMl3oZRw
I wouldn't highly recommend it just yet. but also its in 'early" stages. The attack controls are very unresponsive, if i move my mouse to the left, the attack does not follow on the left. nor when i would move the mouse up or down.
