About This Game

Moon River is a single player brain-twisting puzzle-platformer where the player is locked in the boundaries of the screen.

When they cross any of its edges, they find themselves teleported to the opposite side of the screen.

Across 7 levels, the player will face distinctly challenging sets of unique puzzles that get increasingly complex as the game progresses.

Featuring rich, carefully-crafted art and an achingly beautiful soundtrack, Moon River is a game bound to burrow deep in any puzzle lover's mind.

The game is playable on MacOSX, PC and Linux and is playable with xBox controller or keyboard.
Video (gameplay + commentary):
https://youtu.be/lD0RhYI70YY
Review:
Recommended! There's lot to love about this game:

Satisfying puzzles that I found generally intuitive and fun to solve. They were a little mind-bending but at no point did I feel completely stuck on a puzzle which I consider a positive.
Soothing music and beautiful visuals
Generally really relaxing to play
That said, the game isn't without its downsides:

There is one point (well, two points, but one that you have to win) in the game that requires combat and, at least for me, it was shockingly difficult/unintuitive by comparison to all the very thoughtful puzzles. It felt fairly out of place to me and ultimately I wish I could have skipped it in favor of more zen-like relaxation I got from the puzzles. Spoiler:
For what it's worth, the combat sequence is the final boss battle and there are no puzzles or story elements after that point, so you could also ski...

One of those screen warping puzzle games, you should be able to finish it in about 2 hours. It's not a bad game, but there are some technical issues that should be mentioned. As far as I can tell, there is no controller support, even though some of the buttons might work by accident (the Unity controls don't do anything for me). When you start the game, it will tell you to hold (L) - which the actual L on the keyboard (use it for slow walk and to push blocks). After you do that, it will tell you to press (J) - that is the sword attack. Now you might be wondering if it has some combat, but the sword is mostly used for interacting with some of the puzzles, and the last boss fight. I also run into 2 glitches that forced me to reset the checkpoints, I suspect that the starting area is where most of the problems can happen. The game has 5 puzzle sections, each introducing a new puzzle element to the gameplay. I have played many similar games, so I did not enjoy the first half as much. Lat...

Heyo! Sonoket 3 sentence review go: A short and surprisingly challenging game where walls and floors loop back on each other to create a mind-bendingly fun puzzle game. Very minimal design in the game as well as lack of menus and options detract from the game but not enough to not recommend it. Just a treat to play through at the pricepoint. If you want more than that I have a First 30 video up on the game where you can see the First 30 minutes of gameplay with some more thorough thoughts after it. A very short but wonderfully unique and atmospheric game. I recommend it despite the short runtime. Hint: If the final boss is too much, you can just ignore the final fight. There is absolutely nothing after it. Literally it's just 'Thanks for playing.'

Very fun little mind game playing with perspective and the actual window in which the game is played in. LOTS of speedrun potential. Only complaints are the healing mechanic is annoyingly slow and the final level is..... unfairly punishing.

I recommend this game ONLY due to the chill vibe with the puzzles, music, and art work. BUT the combat is terrible! i spent an extra 45 min on the boss alone! he constantly flew off screen so you couldn't even use the screen warp to get behind him and if you did, somehow, get behind him you sword isn't lined up so you miss and get stuck in spike hell. The bounce off damage mechanic is terrible (you get hit by a spike, which bounces you into another spike until you die). I would suggest you play the game until the final boss as there is nothing past that point to save yourself any frustration.

The game soft-locked an hour in, so I had to quit, losing all progress. My impression so far is that the controls are unnecessarily awkward, the health system is a pointless way to make you reply large portions of the game, and the combat is too clunky to be fun.
