About This Game

Fairy Fight
A large-scale dogfight, utilizing the finest warplanes the world has ever known.
Our main character, Sasaki Junichi, is the grandson of the legendary FF Pilot. He comes to Shouou Academy, which once reigned supreme as a school of Fairy Fight Champions.
Traveling in the exalted Shinden, he arrives at the student dormitory known as Tsubasa Dorms, only to find... every other tenant is a woman!!
Hirosawa Hikari is drop-dead gorgeous! Too bad she also happens to be the world's cutest encyclopedia of useless plane knowledge.
Big surprises for our boy, Junichi -- Sasaki Kazusa shares the same last name AND the same bedroom with him now! She's a bit of an airhead with some nasty sleeping habits.
Jinno Nahoko is the sophisticated student council president with a handle on everything (and I MEAN everything) that happens around the school.
And Matsumoto Mimari, the mystery girl who paid for an entire plane in a single payment on her card.
All of these team and decide to compete in a Fairy Fight.
What kind of crazy storm can a renegade team of mismatches create in the esteemed world of FF Champions?!
A crazy summer in the wide blue yonder is right at your fingertips!

A genuine and wholesome visual novel full of characters that can only be described as angels. Whether it's the tsundere who's too caring for her own good or the airhead with no concept of personal space, every girl is absolutely adorable and destined to give you a severe case of diabetes from sweetness overdose. Pacing is a little inconsistent, it can feel like a whole lot of nothing is going on, or that you skipped over some major developments in a few lines. But when you have cute girls and dogfights hand in hand it's barely a negative. If there's anything to complain about it's that the individual routes don't address every plot thread brought up in the common route, and as a result there are some pretty jarring jumps between each route. Each successive ending will just serve to remind you of all the unresolved issues for the other girls, and the lack of true or harem ending to tie them altogether neatly is quite evident. You notice this most because one of the great mysteries of t...
I got this game because I liked "If my heart had wings" immensely and because I am an aviation nut. Afer my 1st playthrough, I can´t say I am disappointed. The aircraft are superbly drawn (the girls are too!) and the scenario would have been my adolescence´s dream: Fly old aircraft on a regular base - plus have the funds to do so! - and share a house with some beautiful girls. Disputes are well written and funny.- As is the situation of the male protagonist who at the start of the story squirms not to get kicked out by doing anything that will get him into embarassing situations. Later on, things take a different, more emotional turn, but I won´t spoil this. Actually, the old airplanes take on the role of young men´s souped up and hot-rodded cars in our world. Big difference is there are also girls actively involved and supporting it, something I do not know looking at those "pimp my car" young men. Translation is superbly done. I have seen some pretty clumsy English in other games...
Final Rating TDLR If you like slice of life feel good VNs and don't mind a touch of fighting plane action, recommend. 7.5/10, rounds up to an 8. Overall I liked it. I would say its biggest strengths are: * All the characters are pretty likable and funny, outside maybe one prominent character in Mimari's route who was written to be unlikable * It has some nice feel good/emotional moments throughout * Unique enough setting with the plane fighting and stuff to make it stick out from other galge. * Character development is decent enough for each character. I'd say its biggest weaknesses are: * Romance seems slightly rushed in each route * The routes are obviously formulaic: Route starts -> Romance starts -> H-scene + SoL x3-5 -> Drama outta nowhere -> EPIC PLANE FLIGHT * While not as bad as say... Muv-Luv every so once in a while the plane explanations are a little too long-winded for a plane noob like me who isn't particularly into fighting planes. * Nahoko and Hikari's voic...
I expected nothing, and I was still dissapointed. The involvement of aviation or anything even marginally related in this game is scant to none, and the authors have little to no subject matter knowledge of aircraft or how they work. What command of the subject matter they might have had has sadly been lost in the process of translation. The common route is painfully dull and boring, and I'm still not through it after almost eight hours sunk into the "game." Sticking to boring, worn-out, predictable, tired tropes is not a great shock when it comes to a visual novel, but this is the most painfully dull implementation I have ever had to suffer. The amount of time spent on painfully boring rehashing of why X person was assigned to Y room was especially grating. For those who suspect I have embellished my account, you can watch my debut day stream and judge for yourself: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7BGMOCsxzB0&lc=z22nvpt5vrnudrplsacdp431qicx5kwukq201fxe001w03c010c
No one will believe that I was in bed with all of them. ^^
Under One Wing is a Visual Novel that really reminded me of "If my Heart had Wings", with the same kind of Setting and everything. This one had a few advantages though cause you get a very good Translation and Voice Acting which makes every VN just a lot better. I also really enjoy the Art and if you play with the R18 Patch you really not only get a good amount of Fanservice, but it really improves the Romance Aspect of this Game. They did a great Job with the Personalities and the Relationships with the Girls. I am sure that you will enjoy all the different Girls and that there will be one that you are going to like the most. Back to the Story, you enroll in a School, where everyone flighs with their Planes and have the Luck that the Dorm you stay in only has cute Girls. Together with them you participate in Flight Battles. If you are interested in World War 2 planes, or planes in general this VN will be perfect for you, but even if you arent especially looking for that, but a great...

I like visual novels, this was probably the 9th or 10th one I played. Personally, I felt that each of the routes had many plot holes or pacing jumps which took away from the experience for me. Nahoko's VA was also a little hard to listen to. The art is good, the H-scenes (if you get them) are good, and the music is ok, but overall I think you could get a better game for the price.
