This game is not only a bad Axis and Allies game it is also just a bad strategy game. I have Axis and Allies 1914, 1940 Global, 1914 Global war, Civ V and many other strategy games but this one fails in so many areas where the others do better. I have not Played with other People but a digital strategy game should be well rounded in single player. You only win battles on the whim of dice which is fine on its own but no when the enemy AI is leagues better than the friendly AI. I tend to enjoy my strategy games with a modicum of challenge but this game challenges patience rather than skill but suppose the main issue really is that if you even could play with other people your really only doing so verbally and in the game. The game also just tends to have a very flat feel to it there's really no effects or visuals to indicate any importance and the map has so little detail and space that most of the time i cant tell which territory matters outside of the factory symbol. This game is frank...

If you have played the board game, you'll love this version once you get used to the user interface. It takes some time to figure out the controls. I'd recommend playing against the computer a couple times to get used to it. It also seems to be well designed to avoid glitched I've seen in other similar versions of the Axis & Allies like games that allowed player to replay their turns. The only think that would be nice would be an in game messaging option.

I've always been a big fan of the board game and have played many games IRL. However, this game has enabled me to drastically increase the volume of play that I can incorporate into a busy life. Even better, I can play with friends on the other side of the planet asynchronously when our play times don't line up. It's not perfect and there are bugs. Sadly, it looks like WOTC has mostly abandoned this game. But it doesn't take away from the fun that this game brings to the virtual table.

Pure excitement. Action from the word go, it doesn't let up. ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK, over. DEFEND DEFEND DEFEND, copy.

BRILLIANT GAME. NO TWO GAMES ARE THE SAME EVEN IF YOU USE THE SAME TACTICS.

There is a fatal bug in the program. When a fighter can't land, being out of moves, the game is stuck. Very frustrating!
