It takes the fundamentals of the past games developed by Qute, primarily the combat system, and then tries to do its own thing with the rest. It has ditched the traditional, unified level routes in favor of a story-based approach, with replayable chapters instead of it. The global unlock system of ESCHATOS and Judgment Silversword that used the player's total score is also replaced with a shop that uses the credits the player collects and earns throughout the game to allow for aircraft customization. In a way, you can say that the game kinda feels more like Jets'n'Guns, although with a bunch of differences.
