If you get it on sale grab it, the game loses the charm other lego games have. There's no jokes or funny takes it's a pretty straight forward game. It does have some merit allowing you to make your own lego city like lego worlds. However it's just not a great lego game.

Just a worse lego worlds

theres so many bad things about this game, most of them being, it barely follows the lego 2 movie story, new level system? no red bricks, and alot more... this game is just ass. (lego worlds but its bad and is "lego movie 2" branded)

A fun twist on the LEGO formula! Instead of just replaying the movie, this game gives you more freedom with open-world exploration, collecting, and building. Scanning objects and using Master Builder tools to create gadgets feels creative and rewarding, and the worlds are colorful and fun to explore. It’s especially great if you enjoy hunting for collectibles and unlocking new blueprints. It’s not the deepest LEGO game ever, but it’s relaxing, lighthearted, and perfect for fans of the movie or younger players who love building and exploring.

I don't understand the hate this game is getting. Is it the best Lego game? No. Is it the worst Lego game? Also no. I like that they switched up the standard Lego game formula and made it different than their other games. I will admit that it does kinda feel weird that they went a different direction compared to the prequel and it does feel sttange that there isn't any dialogue between the cast or barely any "challenging" puzzles like the previous game. I still enjoyed my time. Buy it on sale.

3 hours to complete the story and even that was too much... One of the worst lego games I have ever played. It tries to be open world but all the worlds are just empty and lifeless. There is barely any voice lines from the movie either, the whole game seems rushed and cheaply made. I didn't like Lego Worlds much, but this can't even compare to that game

Honestly didnt think this game was going to be better then the first but it is to me i enjoyed it alot super short super easy and the way the levels are designed to helping characters in a small open world map makes it seem like your not even doing a level is very cool 10/10 game

This game is not the best retelling of the movie's plot at all. Instead of playing through the movie scenes via levels like in the first game, this is just a bunch of fetch quests within the movie's semi-open worlds while the actual story is just narrated to you the whole time, which of course gets boring and repetitive very fast (not to mention they also edited the story itself a little bit, most likely to incorporate Co-op multiplayer). That being said, I still did have some fun with it, simply by just playing as my favorite character (Unikitty <3), fighting enemies, albeit very few of them, exploring the worlds and being able to build your own, Lego Worlds style. Is it the best Lego game? God no. It is the worst? Also no, more like a "it's just ok" kind of game. If you loved the Lego movies, only get this game if it's on sale (as of August 25, 2025, it is, alongside the first movie's game which is a WAYYYYY better deal).
