There's nothing else quite like Shenmue! Yes, it's a huge coming of age story for a young man investigating the murder of his father but, please be aware, story progression is very much slow burn and told over a series of games. With Shenmue 3, Ryo Hazuki finally makes it to Bailu Village and builds his friendship with the enigmatic Shenhua. His overall aims are to investigate why his father spent time there in his youth, and chase up clues relating to the disappearance of Shenhua's father. In the meantime, he will need to level up his skills if he's going to have any chance against the foes ahead of him especially, the formidable, Lan Di. The way to play this game is not to rush it.
