Basically a reskinned Gnomes Garden series but more expensive and less fun. Most time management games like this offer 3 difficulty levels, but this one only has 2 - no timer and "very hard" which has an extremely short timer. To get 3 stars in very hard mode is challenging but can (and usually has to) be done without even using 3/4 of the map which makes you wonder why they even bothered putting the rest of it in. Very little variation in levels, so it gets pretty dull after a while. EDIT: Managed to get the achievements to work which is a bonus.

Game refused to recognise success at lvl 37, so progress was impossible.

DayD: Through time. Jurassic Rush is a time/resource management game with dinosaurs and robots! It has nice graphics, okay music and it functions well. You collect resources, remove obstacles, build quarries, sawmills, etc. It's similair to the 12 Labors of Hercules series and is a lot of fun! Pick it up if you are a fan of the genre.

"DayD: Through time. Jurassic Rush" is a mobile app that's been dumped on Steam as if it was a real PC game (it's not)... it's a cash grab from greedy mobile devs and shovelware asset flippers, 8Floor, who are guilty of reskinning the same games literally hundreds of times and polluting Steam with them. This time, they're spamming Steam with mobile apps. "DayD: Through time. Jurassic Rush" is a pointless "12 Labours of Hercules" screen tapper/clicker mobile app. It's on the app stores as "DayD: Through time and back", where you can download and play it for free. They want your money for this free mobile app on Steam, however. There's no gameplay, just tapping on the screen. The mobile app is made to look like you're making interesting decisions as you're presented with a map of a town/village/pathway that has you clicking on various things to collect things which are then consumed when you click on an obstacle, which unlocks more things to click on. This is so lame and shallow,...

I got this game because I really liked the Gnomes Garden games, and I thought they would be similar enough. I find myself getting bored and frustrated with it, and don't really feel any desire to go back and redo levels even to get the 3 stars. I think my biggest issue is that if you run out of time, the level ends. Which is different to most of these games. Usually if you run out of time you can still finish the level and progress, but without any stars. Which means this game isn't relaxing, and isn't suitable for young children who may have trouble meeting the time limits.

Very disappointing! Only 2 difficulties: either check or uncheck VERY DIFFICULT (unchecked is no timer & no Steam achievements), So if you want Steam Achievements, you have to play VERY DIFFICULT with very short time limits. If time runs out, you have to replay the level and receive no achievement(s). Basically I only played levels with achievements on VERY DIFFICULT and the rest in the untimed mode. The problem with that is the last 4 achievements are probably unattainable. Not even sure I can get all the ones above those but will try. So far I only have 5 of 20 achievements after playing 9 levels in 2 hours. Oh, well... time to cross UniBit off my dev's list.

Okay so it is a bit on the boring side. And the story is kind of dumb. And it isn't really a lot of fun. But I got it on sale! If you get it on deep sale then yes, I recommend it. After all it could have been worse.
