I wanted to like it more, but it has too many problems. The most important being that, for a yuri story, it doesn't elicit any emotions or romantic feelings whatsoever. I, as many other VN fans do, read romance VNs in order to feel a simulation of romance. If that element isn't present, then what's the point? While the story can be interesting at times, it didn't even come close to developing the characters enough for me to care about what happens to them. If I don't care about the characters, then I'm not going to care about when they finally kiss (among other things). Another problem I had with it was the problematic behavior of both romantic interests, particularly Priya. When not accomplishing a happy ending with Priya, her routes always end in yandere-like behavior and/or death of the protagonist. I know that some people fetishize the idea of someone like that lusting for them, but something like that belongs in a hentai, not a story presented as romance. Psycho behaviors [b]are...

Yuri.... need i say more?
The premise and storytelling are good enough, but the execution of characters overall is poor. It's a short game so there's not time for real development, which is fine, but there's an overarching sense that most decisions are either good or bad, and that is definitely reflected with most endings
being death or abandoment
. With the shortage of overall interactions available, this repeatedly reflects poorly upon a particular character, when typically the charm in these Visual Novels is picking your favorite, rather than the narrative shoving one "correct" route down your throat. Another major gripe I have is a very clearly broken achievement that otherwise would've been gotten early on in most playthroughs, which prevents 100% completion, and the devs being aware and inactive towards a solution regarding it for apparently several months, which is telling of their (lack of) commitment to the community at large.
Thought this was a cute lesbian romance Trapped in a castle with two sexy women Had sex with one of them Died 10/10
A hidden tower, a solitary witch, a gallant thief, and an innocent princess, is this the beginning of a fairy tale or a hot yuri story? ^^ It is with this premise that begins our history, accompanying the young Princess Amarante, an innocent but persistent princess, who lived quietly in her castle until without any warning to be invoked for the tower of the witch Isolde, a beautiful witch who due to the fear of others ended up isolating herself from the world, making it a bit difficult to relate to her at first, but over time she is opening up to the young princess. Completing the trio we have the thief Priya, who tried to steal something from the tower but was not very lucky and was caught by the witch, yet nothing can take away his good mood and his mania to be saying romantic words to the princess. ^^ The game has a rather short story for a VN, only 3 to 5 hours depending on your reading speed and also if you want to see all the endings. Speaking about the endings, the story has a...
I will give this game a positive recommendation, but just barely - it's a very cheap, short and simple yuri VNs with some fairly mild 18+ content, that looks and read well enough to give you your money's worth. The story and characters, however, are serviceable at best - I would put them at the same level as Winged Cloud Sakura VNs, even if the focus on sex and fanservice is nowhere as big. The protagonist, Amarante, is rather consistent and interesting enough - a rather clueless, young princess who's been told by her parents that her attraction to women is a passing fancy and got forced into a speedy wedding after confessing to one of her maids. Amarante is, however, probably the best part of the experience - the plot is bare-bones and the romanceable heroines are rather one-dimensional and unconvincing. The Witch, with her over-the-top shyness and stuttering gets old really fast, especially because her attitude only slightly changes when her romance scenario progressess - ...
Still playing but the art and OST is unique and the characters are cute. If you like to see 1st 25 minutes of the game on my channel heres a link :D https://youtu.be/VadJMJZR_lc
Just finished The Wilting Amaranth, a rather multifaceted fun little visual novel, that’s very hard not to love. It’s a written as a yuri fable, and with an 18+ patch, it succeeds in spades! The art is whimsical and cute, and certainly one I found to be very pleasing. Music is its weak point. -Considering there’s at least 4-5 hours of play, if you’re going through all the roads and avenues, a bit more music would have been nice. In all I’d say that The Wilting Amaranth is a great addition to Steams yuri offerings, and one I would recommend in a heartbeat.
A princess gets trapped in a tower with a witch and her prisoner. That's pretty much the whole plot. The choices you make decide if you end up with the witch or the prisoner (or neither). Before The Wilting Amaranth I played Ne no Kami, which has a boring story and bad voice acting. The Wilting Amaranth has no story and no voice acting. which I guess is preferable? The two 18+ scenes were fine, but nothing special. If you're just looking for some yuri entertainment to keep your entertained for a couple of hours you could do worse than The Wilting Amaranth (like Ne no Kami). It's not good enough to give it a thumbs up, but it might be worth picking it up during a sale if you're a huge fan of the genre.
what is this dark magic? a girl??? kissing another girl????? its sinful but boy is it HOT!
