Off the Record: The Final Interview Collector's Edition

Decent HOG but Honestly I think it might be the weakest of the serries. They made some odd puzzle choices and I wasn't a fan of the bonus story. Still if you like HOG's this does fit the bill.

I played all the Off The Record series games and I'll give them all the same review, since they were not very different from each other (except the story). This game (like all the other ones in the series as well) is very well made, has nice graphics and good playability. They story is somewhat forgettable and the characters are okay, but overall it's a very nice game to spend about 2 hours with (it's a bit shorter than the rest of the series' games. Full price sounds a bit harsh considering the amount of content, but best bought when discounted ;)

I got this game as part of the Off the Record bundle, which contained six HOGs starring you, the star journalist who always seems to get herself into the middle of a story... The first five games were pretty good, and this one was similar in terms of graphics, storyline and voice acting (both above average quality for your typical HOG and definitely up to Big Fish's usual quality). Unfortunately, this game falls behind in terms of game play. There is a LOT of "go to room 1 to find a missing piece to a box in room 2, which contains a piece missing from a missing statue in room 1, etc." but without a lot of logic to the boxes or puzzles. The actual objects are irrelevant to the storyline and/or random, which makes it less fun. You basically find yourself fast travelling back and forth to place pieces instead of exploring the - quite attractive - backgrounds.
