I enjoyed this one but not for the romance. I enjoyed its exploration of grief. I think fans of 7'Scarlet will like this. The story line made me think more about my own way of handling grief and it made me think about the difference between love and selfishness.

Psychedelica of the Black Butterfly is a game primarily about loss and grief. If you're triggered by these subjects, it's probably not a good fit for you. There are too many routes to actually name, so I'll just go in order of character routes I completed: Kagiha -> Karasuba -> Yamato -> Hikage -> Monshiro All characters, except for Hikage and Kagiha, have two endings. Hikage and Kagiha have one ending each. However, there are also other endings that are not tied to a particular character. There are a LOT of branching paths in this VN and you'll probably need a guide to get all the endings. The story is long, extensive, and there's a lot going on underneath the surface that isn't what it seems at first. I can't even get to the plot because the interface is absolutely SHOT. The key mappings are ass, and I can't even find or change the most necessary ones. Why does pressing enter kick you into the auto mode - I'm just trying to progress? There is no button to check the log. Half the buttons don't work unless you double click but good luck learning which ones. What the fuck? If I'd seen a single review about this I wouldn't have bought it in the first place.
