A challenging minimalistic logic puzzle. The difficulty ramps up quickly as new mechanics are added, though varies from level to level. It could use a few additional features such as mid-level saves and the ability to mark available numbers as used before committing (or move them next to a column or row). Overall, it is a nice time-sink. EDIT: Update to mention the final 3 "bonus" puzzles are a real disappointment and need an overhaul to be enjoyable. A relaxing but challenging logic puzzle game; similar to killer sudoku, but with clever new mechanics. What makes it especially interesting is that cells can have one of two colors, while the provided clues usually only suggest the sum of one color, making it that more difficult to piece things together into the one correct solution. The game works without issues on Linux.

I would almost put Puzlogic on the same level as the Hexcells series and Tametsi. The quality and consistency of the puzzles and the difficulty curve were just right, but the game was held back by some interface and display issues and one bad puzzle: *There is no space to organize the number tiles at the bottom *The initial sorting of the tiles is different for each level and has no regard for numerical sequence or color *The final puzzle (level "D") has more than one solution, but, at the time of this review, only accepts one of them

Puzlogic is a pretty challenging puzzle game. Its mechanics uses a mix of sudoku and kakuro. It starts off very easy but the difficulty starts to ramp up around the second half of the game. Towards the end, I was spending ~40 mins per level. I actually dislike kakuro with a passion but this game actually made it fun since the sums are never too great. Pros: -interesting puzzles -tough challenges in second half -clean layout -notation system Cons: -no saves mid-level -lack of work space (arrangement of tiles at the bottom depend on the level structure) -notation system could be designed better and without limits -bonus end levels 'N' & 'D' have 1 false solution each

A solid logic-puzzle game. New rules/mechanics are added regularly as you progress, leading to some delightfully complex puzzles. Since you work from a limited pool of numbers, each level is mostly about trying to find just enough numbers to get started, at which point everything rapidly comes together in a satisfying conclusion. The difficulty curve is also well done, with a steady ramp up in difficulty that never spiked or became frustrating. My only real complaint is that making notes/reminders is a bit clunky (you have to right-click, drag, and drop for every note you want to place, and I really wish there was some way to just make them using the keyboard).

Puzlogic is a solid little logic puzzler that focuses on having well-thought-out, handcrafted puzzles, with a nice difficulty ramp. If you like doing pen-and-paper puzzles - or if you enjoyed the mid-game puzzles of Hexcells - this is an obvious buy. The puzzles are nicely crafted, and more than worth the price. My only gripe is that the interface is a bit clunky in places - in particular, the heavy reliance on right-click-and-drag is a bit awkward with a trackpad on Mac. Still, the puzzles are solid enough to put up with a bit of interface issue. I'm hoping for a sequel, and perhaps a slightly nicer way to interact using a trackpad will come along there.

Truly a hidden gem of a puzzle game. Tons of hand-crafted levels that were a lot of fun to solve. Definitely a must-have if you enjoyed Squarecells or the such.

A gentle, simple, thinking game. Doesn't really become "sudoku like" until level 10. Simple addition/subtraction from there. Great for children too as although there is a timer, you really can play around with the tiles at leisure. The subtle hints help at first. All my computers run Linux not micro$oft's junk so it's good to see a native GNU/Linux option from the outset. Great price, great game... Makes a change from zombie slaughtering on Left4dead 2. (Also Linux) Thank you Eduardo.
