About This Game

An immersive music experience featuring an original track by the dark electronic band Spanking Machine. Walk through two worlds inspired by the music, using your controller to explore every corner and discover surprises. Along with animated 3D art, the experience features a full-length music video by award-winning director Mark Pellington. Fire, robots and mythic creatures await you!

The inspiration for this experience came from the classic vinyl album cover. Back in the day, you could look at amazing cover art while listening to the music and get lost in the world of the artist. Now, album art has been reduced to a small digital image. As both musicians and visual artists, Spanking Machine are using VR to bring back cover art in a new way.
Experienced on Windows Mixed Reality
This is a VR music video. Whole thing lasts about 5 minutes, although the song is on a loop and you do have to manually quit the game. There is no gameplay here and no interactions other than walking. Locomotion is gaze-based plus press of the trigger. There are two environments. I would suggest looking around the first one completely before teleporting into the second world as there is no way back. The two environments are nice. I liked the music track. I thought the music went well with the intended experience. It's running on the Unity Engine. The visuals are kind of dated now in 2020. The lighting could have been done better as well. You can clip through objects. Wish there were at least some interactions. Still, it was a nice, though not great overall experience for me. I guess it depends on whether you like the music or not ... listen to the store page video. [b]Rate 6/10. Not the best music video. There might even be free ones...

Amazing song held back by a very mediocre experience. For a great music/visual trip check out Show It 2 Me, Museum of Symmetry or Fantasynth.

I like music videos in vr so i thought I would give this one a go. You have to move yourself around with the trigger button and you will know where to go as the paths are limited. The song is called permission, I know this because it was used about 200 times during the song. The song is neither great or bad. I have not opinion on it. The scenery though inventive has a basic feel. It does however have a kick ass unicorn at the end I do like the concept they were going for so I am giving it a thumbs up.
