From the very bottm of my grim heart wish that this scumbag studio goes bankrupt with their next project, because of how disrespectfully they treated the community while their broken game existed for all these years. I have 260 hours into this game and wish I could recommend it but, do to the recent decision to cap the fps to 60, I can no longer do that.

The developers dont do anything. they release half baked dlc's but never actually focus on gameplay mechanics or improvements to the experience. It should be $25 with all dlc's included at the state its currently in

I'll say this for a fact. This is FAR BETTER than SkaterXL, but you don't even have to try hard to do that. I logged so many hours into modding and playing SkaterXL because I thought that was the better experience. I only have 12 hours of playtime writing this review, but I can tell you without a doubt (barring EA changing everything) that this will outlast Skate (4). This is the ultimate street skating game with a lot of cool little features and more that they keep adding. the frame rate update just shows how outdated this game is now, it's a shame cause it had so much potential.

The only thing I don't like about this is there is no vert action or grab tricks. But this is a top notch street skating sim. Really beautiful environments with all the grit you would expect on sidewalks and streets that have been weathered by the locals. The controls are a little buggy and sometimes the trick registration just sh*ts itself, but this can make for some funny moments and weird glitchiness. Overall it works well and the skating is really smooth the majority of the time. Grinds are REALLY hard to pull off for some reason but I kind of like it. It almost feels like if I were to try grinding a rail in real life. I'd probably break every bone in my body before succeeding. Here it is the same way. You have to plan your lines ahead of time and set a session marker so you can practice over and over without having to walk or skate back to the start.
