About This Game

The world has been taken over by the evil Dr. Progen and his merciless synthetic army. A desperate plea for help sets Shadow, the sole survivor of his clan, on one last mission to uncover what started the path to perpetual ruin. Your robotic companion, L-Gion, is your only guide through the ruins of Mekacity. How far will Shadow go to protect his clan and the one he loves? Is there more to their bond than meets the eye? Only you can unlock the secrets to your clan's ancient powers. Hurry before you run out of time! The road to redemption awaits in Cyber Shadow, the quintessential Ninja Action game.

Features

  • Experience sharply honed ninja platforming action! Dash, slice, and leap your way through the depths of Mekacity as you explore claustrophobic factories, corrupted research labs, fortified coastlines, vast skyscapes, and more!
  • Powered by the lost souls of the ninja clan, Dr. Progen’s army mercilessly hunted down all life forms. As the sole survivor, you must take down more than a dozen apocalyptic bosses, ranging from enormous war machines to your synthetically-enhanced clan rivals.
  • Rescue your clan to unlock permanent Ninjutsu skills and abilities. Attack from afar with shurikens and kunai, or get closer by using your double jump, cross slash, or wall slide techniques. Summon fire, charge slashes, parries and much more to realize your true potential.
  • Experience a gripping story– told both in-game and through animated cinematic story scenes between the action. Shadow returns from oblivion, hurtling through Mekacity on borrowed time for what will surely be his last mission. It’s unclear what transpired before he met his fate, but his clan was betrayed. What has become of the Clan’s master? Who can be trusted when nothing is as it seems?
  • Authentic 8-bit presentation with handcrafted sprites, a detailed pixel aesthetic, and perfect controls. Modern touches like fluid animation, multilayered parallax backgrounds, and evolved game design.
  • Pulse-pounding soundtrack by Enrique Martin.

Great art and animation. Very tight and good platforming controls that get blemished in the end. The game feels and plays better when you start out with no powers than it does when you get all the powers. The parry input is jank and you get hit sometimes even if you parry the bullet. The special move inputs make platforming and fighting sloppy. A Metroidvania game with no map expect select places where there is a teleporter. What started out as a lot of fun got tedious and annoying at the end. Very unfortunate

This is the best retro Ninja Gaiden style game I've played. The gameplay progression is great and the music is AMAZING. Hands down my favorite one among the others such as The Messenger, etc. Highly recommended!!

Cyber Shadow: One of the most amazing 2D Ninja games ever made a bit of a mix with a metroid, but focused on stage-by-stage action. Great bosses, great gameplay, music, visuals, everything. Loved the story, the cutscenes with beautiful pixel art. The powerups you gain are pretty cool building up to intense ninja gameplay Also, I would recommend hunting some of the achievements, some of the challenges are pretty fun to attempt 10/10 makes you feel like a true (robot) ninja

Good side-scrolling game. Feels like Megaman but you play with Zero cause you can't shoot much, you rather use a sword and melee attacks. The normal mode finishing is relatively easy but still a bit challenging and fun. I don't find it having a nice replay factor, but it's also satisfying finishing it only once. Again one of those "skip the BS and let's get started playing" kind of game, so I very much recommend it.

Cyber Shadow is an awesome old school ninja game. I can't recommend enough, it’s very difficult, but they add health pick ups and SP upgrades to make it more manageable, Controls are solid, so if you mess up, you know it's all on you. The game is also very forgiving with checkpoints scattered throughout the levels. Great pixel art and excellent retro music. I can listen to the ost all day, coming from a old school gamer, if you love Ninja Gaiden on the NES you'll love this game 10/10

A really fun ninja platformer with fantastic pixel art, some pretty sick jams, and some cleverly hidden areas along with neat easter eggs. The story kept me interested as well, although I would love a prequel and / or a sequel one day. Played the game to 100%+ completion on Switch years ago, bought it again on Steam to support the developer and try it out on Steam Deck (on which it runs very well). Wish the soundtrack was available though. And a New Game Plus mode would be nice. Overall, I would absolutely recommend the game for fans of platforming games that test your abilities and provide a good challenge. Hope to see more from this developer in the future!
