Fun and satisfaying stealth game with a cool 2D artstyle. The story is passable but lacks any kind of real development since the game is quite short. I wasn't too convinced at the start but the latter levels get more fun as you get more tools at your disposal. More levels would be great but it's not a game I would replay I think. It plays well on Steamdeck but you need to enable Proton Compatibility Layer otherwise there are visual glitches and crashes. 7/10

This is by far my favorite Klei game and the best time I've had in older days on the 360

If you ever wanted to feel like a super ninja using shadows, sound, and gadgets with perfect precision, this is it. Mark of the Ninja is an excellent stealth game. The controls are incredibly good outside of a few tight spot were you will latch on to a wall where you didn’t intent to latch on to. The story is also good, with a twist at the end. Overall this is a great experience. **If your playing on the deck remember to switch to proton experimental, and it runs perfect without any crashes

For me, 2025 is Year of the Ninja. Between Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound, the upcoming Shinobi: Art of Vengeance, Ninja Gaiden 2 Black Remake, and the forthcoming Ninja Gaiden 4, I'm swimming in great Ninja games new and old. I have no reference for the original Mark of the Ninja to contrast with this remaster, so all I can say is the game is fantastic and beautiful. Honestly the art style reminds me somewhat of Samurai Jack, but obviously a great deal more grim. The protagonist is one of the few who is tattooed with a special ink that gives special abilities at a high cost. That's all I'll say. While the story may seem straightforward for the most part, there are small layers that lead to a VERY interesting conclusion. I loved that. Gameplay is great. By default you move slow and quietly, requiring you to hold down a trigger (I play on controller) to run, which makes noise. I will say that enemies aren't the smartest. If you make a mistake and manage to evade them, they'll do a limited...

Although I've happened across stealth elements in many other games I've played, I think Mark of the Ninja is the first outright stealth game I've played - and I really loved it. Beautiful, atmospheric and thoughtful. The level design has clearly had a huge amount of thought put into it while choosing the correct items is not a deal breaker for completing levels or tasks, but rather prove to make sections easier or harder to complete. Which is the way it should be, y'know? Really stunning cut scenes and a story to invest in. An instant favourite, just a brilliant game.

Dishonored in 2d

I actually disliked this game at first, the controls are intentionally sticky and weird. But after getting used to it, it is a great game full of stealth-driven environment puzzles and ninja stealthy action. I keep thinking it's like a "2D Dishonored". The controls start to make sense as you get into it. The game doesn't waste your time, hold your hand, or drag along. Scene by scene action, short but sweet cut scenes, and the art is very sharp all along the way. Great example of what can be done with 2D games. Lots of replayability and NG+ features. Cons: I'd still say the controls could be improved, especially for KBM. And I dislike having to repeatedly go through the menu loadout scene every time.
