Looks fun, but it's not. I love these kind of games, but this one falls short. The controls are a bit rough, and I think the mask concept is kinda dumb. Having to press a button to pick things up in the heat of the battle isn't fun, why can't I walk over it and pick it up? It has potential, but cannot recommend. I prefer smoother twin stick types, like: Enter the Gungeon, Tesla vs Lovecraft, Nex Machina, Geometry Wars 3, etc..... 4/10

About This Game
It’s Showtime: Are you going to despair, because you are just a mortal weakling, a common human being? Well, that ain’t a Problem! Take a mask and become whomever you want to be. You can transform into a Knight, a Demon or even a Clown - the choice shall be yours. In “To Hell with Hell” masks define your skills and you can combine them as you want.
Chose. Your. Weapon: To shovel or to mortar, that's the question here. End the lives of your enemies your way. Take your Sword or your Pumpgun - it is up to you. How will you defeat the demonic mobs? Slice them, blast them - make it their worst day in hell!
Hell is not the end of the road: Wait until hell has frozen over? That’s indeed a possibility here, cause there are more places than the heated home of the demons. And once you’ve reached the frosty caves, your journey will be far from over!

It's... okay. Base weapons do too little damage and fire too slowly. At the start, you get weapons that do ~40 dps, and later in the game, you can get weapons that do 300-400+ dps. If you're unlucky with drops in later levels, you're SOL. Enemies are also bullet sponges, which exacerbates the dps problem. Lazurite would do well to narrow the range of both damage and enemy health. The mask implementation is another problem. They are pretty much de rigeur, but 3 hits and they're gone, and if you're unlucky, the very next mask you have cycles over and gets destroyed as well. Out of masks? Might as well die and restart. There are plenty of amazing bullet hell games on Steam - ETG, Nuclear Throne, Tesla v Lovecraft, NeuroVoider. THTH just doesn't stand out amidst the competition, sadly.
Buy Nuclear Throne instead
There's hard, there's really hard, and then there's this game. As someone who's partial to the "die a lot and progress" genre (enter the gungeon and dead cells are quite possibly my favorite games ever), but to hell with hell is an a whole other league. With all that being said, and with only being able to get to level 4 (oh, you'll see!) the game has a TON of content and never really feels unfair. Also, the game is absolutely perfect for loading up to play a quick game where you try to make it to the next level, in that respect, I certainly recommend the game, however, unless you've honed yourself on hardcore Japanese bullet hell games (think ikaruga), you won't stand a chance...but that doesn't mean you won't have fun!
Only played a few hours but very fun. The masks are a cool mechanic IMO, and the biggest downside I saw was not good enough descriptions of what the mask abilities do (albeit after testing for a minute it is easy enough to figure out).
CROW GOT THIS IN FANATICAL BUNDLE CAW CAW, CALLING IT A NUCLEAR THRONE IS BEING TOO GENEROUS I FEEL CAW CAW. IT'S MORE OF A CLONE OF GUNGEON THAT HAS A MASK SYSTEM FROM THE SKUL GAME CAW CAW. IT ALSO HAS LIMITED SAVES LIKE A HARDCORE MODE IN RESIDENT EVIL GAMES CAW CAW WELL AT LEAST IT HAS A BIKINI LADY CAW CAW, YOU WILL ALWAYS GET POINTS WITH ME FOR THAT CAW CAW
A lot like Enter The Gungoun but with more gore. The game looks great, controls are surprisingly good, Enough in there to last you ages. 3/5 - Good
For a game that is pretty much a bullet hell, having no dash/roll button is a big NO for me. Getting stuck between enemies and objects while trying to avoid lots of bullets really breaks any fun I could have with this game.
Didn't play very much, it wasn't very fun. Your weapons take like 5-6 shots to kill something, and you frequently have to just WAIT to have a safe opportunity to go in for an attack around the endless bullets and other environmental hazards. Masks as 'lives' is a neat idea, too bad you die to 2-3 hits no matter what mask you're using, and the rage felt like it took a long time to replenish Heavy music was pretty good, and the pixel art is okay. For the $2 price, sure, I'll give it a thumb up, but don't expect a lot of goodness in here.
realy fun game, needs some optimization
