About the Game
A boy wakes up alone in the woods surrounded by the husks of burnt-out televisions. After stumbling through traps and pitfalls in the wilderness, he finds a girl locked in the basement of a dark and terrible house with only a music box to keep her company.
This is their story.
WORK TOGETHER OR DIE ALONE
You play as Mono, the boy traveling with Six, his enigmatic companion. Although they never knew each other before their story began, they must find a way to cooperate as they try to survive the terrors and secrets of the Pale City.
Mono can call Six to summon her, but she is also quite independent and observant. Pay attention to her cues and work together to open hidden trapdoors, climb giant furniture, and, if you’re feeling a little scared, hold hands as you both navigate a world never meant for children.
STAY HIDDEN TO STAY ALIVE
The Residents of the Nowhere are enormous, implacable adults like the Teacher or the Hunter who stalk any child Visitor foolish enough to catch their attention. When they’re around, it’s vital to remain quiet and out of sight, or your end will be quick and unpleasant.
RUN FOR YOUR LIFE
At times, hiding won’t be enough. If a Resident is chasing you, you’ll have to run as fast as you can, clambering over any obstacles in your way. Maybe you’ll be able to stay alive long enough to find a place where the danger can’t reach you… for now.
IF YOU CAN’T RUN AND YOU CAN’T HIDE, YOU HAVE TO FIGHT
Mono is strong-willed when he has to be. If you’re trapped with an enemy, look for something you can swing to fend them off. It’s tough work for a such a little kid, so time your attacks carefully. You won’t get a chance to make the same mistake twice…
FIND THE SIGNAL
Mono is the only one who can stop the ominous Thin Man, the Resident who seems to be the source of the Signal luring him into the heart of the city. Find the courage to confront your nightmares and just maybe both Mono and Six can get out of this alive.
Good luck, little ones.

There’s no voice here to guide you. No light you can trust Only darkness The kind of darkness that lives in your childhood memories when something shifted under the bed… and you didn’t even dare to blink This world isn’t made for you It’s made to consume The walls bend, the windows stare, even the floor beneath your feet feels unsure of itself You’re not just small here you’re invisible A silent shadow in a distorted, broken world But you’re not just a piece of cloth to be blown away by the wind You’re searching. For safety. For answers Maybe for yourself… or maybe for the tiny hand that sometimes reaches for yours No name, no words but always beside you The monsters here don’t just have teeth or claws they look human. A teacher whose neck stretches like nightmare logic, a doctor who stitches what shouldn’t exist, statues that turn deathly when touched by light. And you... you must crawl, hide, move silently, and swallow pieces of fear each time just to ...
If you enjoyed the first game then you'll love this one just as much. It's a great second game that keeps the creepy atmosphere of the first game while adding in more interesting puzzles and new mechanics. Find the courage to confront your nightmares. Good luck, little ones.
Experienced on the Meta Quest 3. VR REVIEW ONLY!
You can view my VR gameplay here: https://youtu.be/oIKIBHhO37E Yes, you can play Little Nightmares 2 Enhanced Edition in VR with Ray-Tracing On!! This was a FREE update for everyone who owns the game. When you launch the game, it gives you the option to start in Enhanced Edition. I then used the completely free UEVR mod by Praydog (search for it), nightly version. I used OpenXR, native stereo, world scale 5, 2D screen mode (play in 3D in VR so that you don't see the broken geometry at a distance), and Ray-Tracing on Very-High and most graphical settings on Very-High on my RTX 3080 using link cable on the Meta Quest 3. No motion controls, played with gamepad. Game is a visual delight. It really runs well (I was pushing the graphics though due to Ray-Tracing being on Very-High, just lowering to High and I was getting a steady 90 fps). Ray-Tracing brings each scene to life in VR. It's really the best way to experience this game...
Stop scrolling. Play Little Nightmares. Both games sat in my library for years — when I finally played them, unforgettable. What looks like a creepy puzzle game hides a far bigger story, rich atmosphere, and twists you’ll never see coming. If it’s in your backlog, take this as your sign — stop waiting and play it now.
I dunno if it's better than LM1 but it's a solid Horror side platform puzzle game with atmosphere at it's forefront. Some of the stuff is pretty creepy too. I feel like areas were more varied which can be a plus or a con depending on who you ask.
Here's a quick review of my thoughts after beating "Little Nightmares 2" on the PC. + Atmosphere is incredible, just like the first game. The world is a literal beauty to take in. It feels alive. +- Graphics are tight. Lighting is good, so are the textures. The only thing that feels off is that compared to the first game that has a lot of dynamic colour changes in its world design, this game’s main colours are only blue and black. It’s disappointing honestly. Every area kinda looks the same because of it. +- Controls aren’t too good. I know they’re forcefully made to be loose for realism’s sake, but that doesn’t help with the gameplay at all. All actions have a windup animation, grabbing stuff is hit or miss, and attacking enemies with a weapon is terrible. The controls-to-gameplay ratio is quite bad honestly. +- Checkpoints range from exactly where you died to multiple rooms over. I don’t need to explain how this can be irritating because I’m sure most people aren’t...
Little Nightmares II builds on everything the first game excelled at, especially in its haunting atmosphere and beautifully crafted art design. With the addition of another companion, it introduces richer gameplay and environmental storytelling opportunities. I especially enjoyed the moments where you can fight back, adding a refreshing twist to the tension instead of always relying on escape.
playing on : 75% brightness = ez 50 % brightness = kinda ez 25 % brightness = hard 0 % brightness = blind mf
I am not a great game developer. In fact, I have done zero game developing ever. I am, nonetheless, a superior developer to whomever the fudging fudge made the manequin levels. They are like somebody went "how can we make the *worst* out of the 2.5D design we got here?". I have been playing games for over 25 years, to this day I have not played anything as technically atrocious as this game. I shouldn't be afraid of mechanical hurdles, I should be afraid of the actual horror elements. Playing the third level killed any joy I had from the unique setting and precious atmosphere. Buy this on sale and use a trainer, save yourselves hours of frustration.
