TL;DR: Good strategy game! Worth a buy on VR This is an RTS style game with a "Tabletop" view. They nail the design and feel of a small scale, casual and competitive RTS with 2 different factions to choose from, Humans and Undead. + Each faction has different troops with different properties (e.g. Warcraft/Starcraft/C&C) + The map looks great and the game is easy to understand and pick up + Single Player Missions and Multiplayer with "Quick Play" and "Create Arena" modes right at launch + Quick and easy to jump in and play a round + You can quickly adjust your in-game height on the fly to survey the map - There aren't a lot of players online AT THE MOMENT due to this being a new game, (but any fan of RTS's or Strategy games should pick this up. Super fun concept especially in VR) EDIT: Join the TableTop Gods discord channel, It's a great community to find people to battle with online. (Only ran into one issue which was frame stuttering. I went back and forth with the graphic opti...

About This Game

Tabletop Gods has been designed from the ground up to be played in both traditional PC desktop or in VR - It's your choice!
The Elder God has vanished! In the wake of her disappearance, a power vacuum has appeared in the heavens and war has erupted!
Tabletop Gods is a fast-paced, real-time, arcade action war game, with a hint of tower defense thrown in for good measure. Playing the role of a god, you and your opponent lead your armies against each other across virtual tabletop battlefields with one goal in mind: to destroy more of your opponent’s Strongholds than they destroy of yours.
The hectic battles in Tabletop Gods last at most 15 minutes, often less. At the start of a match, you'll choose which of the three factions you wish to command: Human, Undead or Demon. You'll also choose which of the three unique tables you want to battle on, each one being at the center of its own Arena. Each battle is played over three increasingly frantic rounds. At the start of each round, you have a short time to place fiendish traps and mighty weapon towers in secret, as well as the opportunity to switch your troops and spells for the upcoming round. After preparing for war, the next 3-minute round of intense battle commences in which you'll be deploying troops and casting spells in an attempt to destroy your opponent's Strongholds while striving to defend your own.

Each tabletop battlefield is the centrepiece of its own 'Arena'. An arena holds up to 8 players who are free to move around and voice chat with each other, whether they are playing a match or spectating. Spectators even have the ability to shrink down onto the table and watch the battle from a troops-eye view! You can create your own arena to play in, or browse the currently open arenas and jump into an existing one. You can even create a private arena for just you and your friends.

Tabletop Gods features a head-to-head multiplayer mode, and single-player Skirmish and Trials modes. The short, intense matches and social arenas are perfect for quick one-off games or for longer multiple-battle sessions. The game is fully cross-platform, so whatever system you're playing on, whether you're playing flat-screen or in VR, you can play with every other Tabletop Gods player.
Can't wait to see you in the Arena!

Swords
Skeletons
Magic
Strategy
Metal Music
Made by Nerds
This game also helped me rekindle my mistrust of the undead. I give it 5 dancing Carlton Banks out of a possible 4 dancing Carlton Banks.
Cool game that builds on the Clash Royale formula. The biggest issue I've had in SteamVR mode is camera stuttering, but it may be because I'm using WMR (and it isn't "supported" yet in the VR support section of this game, although everything works fine besides that). I hope this issue can be resolved, I'm enjoying this game quite a bit.
Wow, only played 2 levels but this is a top quality RTS, Brass tactics style game. Absolutely recommend 10/10
Really enjoy playing this in VR, standing and being able to quickly move back and forth across the battle field. I like the new take on the RTS genre. Much room for improvement. Devs are responsive to comments.
Nice and funny tabletop battle clash game
If you liked the battle sequences in Skyworld you will love this one. You have a miniature world on a table in front of you where you before and between rounds place towers and traps. your goal is to destroy as many of the enemies zone-towers as possible. whenever a zone-tower is destroyed that zone becomes neutral and both teams can place units and towers within it. each battle have three rounds, and all towers that survive one round is carried over to the next one. During combat you use mana to place units or use powerups or throw a mininuke-like fireball. You can only have a maximum ammounth of each type of units on the battlefield. So if you for example place a lot of archers, who dont move, on one spot... you might find yourself in a fix if your enemy no longer uses that route and you therefore have run out of archer placements for other routes. The dynamic of the combat feels great, and the difficulty of the singleplayer is so far good. i am only interested in singleplayer so...
Really great game. Devs are super kind and friendly in the Discord, have little events each week. The Game has a lot of potential with new troops, races, maps etc. I am definitley looking forward to it. I think, thats one of the few early access games where it is worth spending the money on. I have the feeling that there is a lot to come and to expect, not like other game where they charge +20 bucks and you get nothing in return. Price is good, devs are awesome, game can be fun, the artstyle is cute, the general community feeling/group feeling is amazing, great new features (e.g. free movement and voicechat for trashtalk/commenting/etc in the "lobby" which is just a big arena or you can simply watch the two players have their battle on a little table) Just go for it, you wont regret it!
For both PC and VR (yes, you can play it without having VR). Loving this game so far. Easy to pick up and understand but has some deeper strategies to playing. Really fun and engaging.
The gameplay is great, however this is not the best part about the game, the best part would have to be the dev team, who are extremely active and helpful on their discord. Even before purchasing, I joined the discord and was able to speak to a dev who explained the view they had for the game. Def worth getting. 10/10.
