The Last Train - Definitive Edition

Just picked the game up on sale since it had a really interesting setting. The game is good, has a very fascinating world war 2 story. Loved the strategic aspect of the gameplay, there is a lot of resource management and planning involved. I managed to 100% the game with all achievements in about 4 hours. I would love to see more content in the setting.

This game is amazing. Update: It's been a month since I played this game. I probably didn't really plan on playing this game ever again except I saw that there was an update for this game. I'm going to say that the update was for the worse. One major implementation in the update was that it made it so that plenty of major cities in America had been effected by nuclear attacks. When I had first played this game I had liked to make believe some role playing elements where I was a train conductor who was able to avoid the WW2 draft and so was able to pick and choose who I wanted to pick up as my passengers to deliver them to their destinations across the country. The new update makes it blatantly clear now that America was attacked in nuclear war and it's an element that I think the developers could've worked around or done without. Maybe instead of needing a hazmat suit to explore nuclear areas, you could've just gotten hiking boots to walk around in the woods. I still like the game b...

Just began playing it and really enjoying it so far!

The features and previews looked great but the lack of reviews made me hesitate. I picked it up for under $5 during the Steam Summer 2022 sale. The graphics on the game are perfectly fine for this type of game. I enjoy that it lets you also choose different train presets. First thing I did was try the story mode. The story mode is really just the sandbox mode, but every now and then you are stopped to be told about your "story" by the female narrator. The narrator was very loud and obnoxious, there was no option to turn it off. The story was straightforward and dull. It took me maybe two or three hours to finish it. There's no set goals to reach in the story mode. At some point the amount of passengers or length of time in the game will just ...
