Let me in once - not particulary impressed although I was just feeling my way. Game now hanging on startup - hopefully a patch is coming quickly, otherwise I will refund.

Warlock: Tower Defence is a rather badly made, fairly generic tower defense game. One important note is that even though this is an amateur project, it does seem to be sincerely and genuinely made. I couldn't find any flipped assets, plagiarism or any other kind of insincere actions from the developer, but unfortunately genuine intentions alone are not enough to produce a brilliant PC gaming experience. There's a few problems with this TD before we get into the deeper technical defects. The UI basically sucks, it's a cludge with icons, not a lot of text (but you do get a page full of mediocre fanfiction writing before each level, hooray for that, it can be skipped immediately). Avoid at all costs. Started once (review for that play time below) then refuses to start again. Starts to start up, then quits out, over and over. And yes, the files all validated. Getting my money back. Very basic, sub-par tower defense game. I have only played eleven minutes in, but the first five levels all have the exact same map, and it isn't an interesting one either. There are eight towers that look different, apparently elemental in nature, that do different damage, but if they have any special abilities, like a slowing effect of an area attack, there is no explanation of this anywhere. And there aren't many places to look. FYI, nothing explains this in the game, but towers cost 100 to build, and they upgrades start at thirty and go up by ten for each additional level. I have only gone up four of five, and I am not sure what the cap is, if there is one, but all it does is increase the numerical values of things like damage, range and rate of fire. No way to give this one a t...
