In DRAGON BALL Z: KAKAROT you play as Gohan, Kakarot's slightly autistic son. In this game, you punch and kick little flying green beans and eggplant people. There are also flying Armored Core mechs you fight as well. Your goal is to bring back your dead dad who was murdered by the Green Giant. Along the way, you team team up with Kakarot's midget friend and head to space to take on the galactic realtor and his Temu Power Ranger goons. You also play as the vegetable prince as you collect space bowling balls. Game features include: punching, kicking, screaming, and driving cars.

i play dragonball kakarot cuz i like goku but game is LIE. i thought i fly around and punch stuff but instead i talk to ppl and fish with my tail?? goku don’t fish, he FIGHTS. combat is just spin in circle and press button. screen flash too much. i hit air more than enemy. camera got motion sickness. story just talk talk talk. who are all these guys?? piccolo, vegata, krillin?? names sound like food. no guns either. just energy balls and yelling. i tried to go super sayan but game said no. had to wait like 4 hours. then i got beat by pink guy with no nose. dumb. open world empty. i fly into mountain and get stuck. also why goku eat 300 meals a day??? is he okay? FINAL SCORE: 2 outta 100, just watch the cartoon

Pure comfort blanket of a game if you're into Dragon Ball. Easy going, casual fun. Tells the story of Dragon Ball Z really well and has some absolutely beautiful cutscenes. Runs great on Steam Deck as well.

This is the easiest thumbs up I’ve ever given a game; it’s just so much fun! First, if you're looking for a game to play like Superman, it's the best on the market. Fly around in an open world, punching bad guys through mountains or blasting them with energy beams into space. Second, it doesn't take itself too seriously, and keeps everything simple while maximizing enjoyability. For example, it has systems like material collection and cooking, but it's minimal and streamlined so you aren't sent farming for hours on end. I also found the production quality to be so good. The story, cinematics, voice acting, music, all of it. For a game that looks so cartoonish on the box, it's incredibly immersive. I highly recommend adding this to your Library!

combat can be mind numbing but the game itself feels great and the cutscenes are at the highest quality at some times.

An honour to diverse RPG genres and the Dragonball adventures, Some of the DLC are overpriced for their content but a worthy and enjoyable expenditure despite its slight flaws.

Cool game for an IP I personally like a lot. If you're a Dragon Ball fan in general, you'll probably like it - feeling that you're more 'part of the story' than simply watching the anime is cool in itself, not to mention the nostalgia points coming from small details we typically forget about the series and relive in the game. Now, if you're not a DBZ fan, things might not be so great. There are some pointless things, like the orbs scattered all around, for example. In the beginning you might feel they matter, and collect all you can. Until you realize fighting just gives more and more efficiently (especially by ramming lower-leveled enemies) and also realize you probably will have more than enough to upgrade all chars without really breaking much of a sweat; and suddenly they just become an irritating, scenery-polluting thing. Side quests are often typical 'grab/fetch' without much relation to the story, maybe a funny side story on a womanizer Yamcha, etc, but nothing that really make...

It is close to the stories i remember from the animations, but it has a few spins on a good bit of them, due to the game restrictions. All in all i think that both the game, and it's DLCs are worth their price compared to other games that came out and are coming out around the same timeline.
