WARNING! THE GAME SPEED IS LOCKED TO YOUR YOUR REFRESH RATE! make sure you set your refresh rate to 60 before playing or it will move impossibly fast on level 1! now thats out of the way the game is great, its like Tetris only instead of making lines to clear blocks on a vertical screen you make squares and rectangles (4x4 or more) to clear blocks on a horizontal screen. if that sounds like your cup of tea then you wont be disappointed. just make sure you set your screen refresh rate right first!

do not play this if you are photosensitive, but other than that a solid puzzle game all around

This game highly stimulates 3 main senses of your body: sight, hearing and touch (if you're using a controller). I highly recommend playing this with a controller after applying your favorite air freshener and while chewing on long lasting flavored gum for maximum enjoyment. Alternatively, play Lumines Arise while doing all of the above to crank that stimulation up to 100 until you pass out.

If blocks fall way too quickly in specific songs, turn off vsync. The game is normally supposed to be capped at 60fps and uncapping the fps breaks the block speed This took me months to realize after playing the game for at least 10 hours until a friend of mine told me about it. I have played other Lumines games before and I just thought it's how the game actually was and I was just really bad at it

shapes and colors make me stim

This is a great game,but it needs a speed setting for local single player so that new players can learn in a more controlled env. overall the game is great. Offers a lot of fun, mental stimulation and great puzzle solving.this game is for most ages and four anyone who likes a low stakes challenge. I still have the original and it's just as good. NOTE: lumines arise needs more contrast to the pieces. It's so hard to see them on the new demo. I'm excited and anticipating the next game, but this is an issue I see on the demo. Mods would be awesome as well.

Second best puzzle game ever made, I own it on virtually every platform it is available for.
