About This Game

You're a new recruit in the mermaid army, working under Commander Flipsy, the dolphin. After a successful job in shark territory, you're given a top secret mission: become a human and learn the truth about the Titanic.

See, the humans are building a giant ship called the Titanic. It's the largest ship that has ever been built, which has the mermaids worried. Could it be the humans are planning to invade the mermaid kingdom? The ship launches later this week, so you don't have a lot of time to explore the human world and discover what's going on.

To make matters worse, there are three other mermaids who have been sent on this mission. All three of them disappeared, and no one has any idea what happened to them. Can you avoid their fate? Can you successfully pose as a human, without being discovered by your curious roommate Andreas or the foul villain Maynard? Will you help the mermaids destroy the Titanic, or will you choose to side with the humans?

With multiple endings, puzzles, colorful artwork and a script that's over 36,000 words, Mermaid Mission Titanic is a game that's sure to delight mermaid fans of all ages. This visual novel comes from the author of Cat President: A More Purrfect Union and The Pizza Delivery Boy Who Saved the World.

For a story based on the premise "what if the Titanic was actually sunk by mermaids?" I expected this VN to be weirder, but it's oddly low-key. There's some funny moments and a few random puzzles, but if you're expecting something more along the lines of Francy Droo, you'll be disappointed. Apparently the dev made Mermaid Mission: Titanic because his kids wanted a mermaid game, and it definitely shows; it's cute, sincere, and kid-friendly. I wouldn't recommend it to a general audience -- the premise and design are unusual, and that's interesting, but the "developer art" and meandering story make it a hard sell when the end result isn't particularly memorable -- but if you're gaming with children, it's maybe worth checking out.

This game is very good despite having objectively "not great" visuals. The story is clear and easy to follow, funny at times and quite interesting. there are parts where i felt that the real life story of the titanic and the game story didnt really make sense but my questions were cleared up within a few minutes. the puzzles were fun and easy to do. The multiple endings and the option to skip seen text is a great addiditon and make the game easily replayable. some more puzzles would be fun and a good way to break up the reading vs doing/ playing parts in my opinion but it was a fun game nonetheless. hope it gets more support in the future as it was very well done. some changes would be: -new UI (just stylistic choices can be changed to make the game more aesthetically pleasing) -more puzzles (the types used were fun and different so something along those lines or some that are more interactive would be good to have) -have a different text color for when your character is talking but...

Appealing artwork, good music, good story, and several simple, but fun, puzzles to solve. Clever explanation for the sinking of the Titanic. And I learned that mermaids communicate via shell phone.

This lovely, story-driven adventure game features a new perspective on mermaids. It is a charming game with logic-style puzzles speckled in at different points. Although my account shows I have played only 17 minutes, this is only because I played the game in its entirety in Steam's Offline mode. At one point I was expecting the end of the story, but was pleasantly surprised with even more story! The humor is subtle and very much the Michael Gray (Arglefumph) type - which I have grown to understand well. At one point I did have to pause my playing because I was laughing so hard. I would recommend this game for any Michael Gray fan, indie game fan, or even children who the capacity to pay attention to reading. Well done, Michael! I enjoyed this game. :)
