About This Game

The Last DeadEnd is an adventure game with the elements of FPS and horror.

Plot

In this game, we play the role of young scientist Farhad Novruzov, who returned to his homeland to help in filming a documentary movie for an international television channel. Here he faces strange events connected with the ancient religion of Zoroastrianism and the scientist has to find out the reason of these events.

Gameplay and game's world

The game takes place both from the first person and the third person. Most actions and active research take place in the first person view. The main action of the game takes place in Baku, Azerbaijan. It takes place in an actually existing inner city of Baku. This is the oldest district of the city with a thousand-year history, surrounded by a fortress wall, inside which along with the old streets, there are dozens of historical and archaeological sites.

The Last DeadEnd es un juego con elementos de aventura, disparos y terror. Hay una atmósfera misteriosa de una ciudad antigua real, donde el protagonista busca respuestas a sus preguntas y lucha contra las fuerzas del mal.

Features of the game

  • There are several regular enemies in the game, as well as strong enemies (bosses), that were inspired by local legends. In the fight against some of them, there is its own tactic of winning them.

  • The game has an extensive encyclopedia and the possibility of research. Articles in a vast encyclopedia, containing articles about historical objects, characters, symbols, etc., are added along the course of the game. In the game there are various items that can be selected, viewed from all sides, learn information about them. With the help of technological glasses, which the main character has, you can read and decipher the inscriptions in the ancient languages that are on the walls of the old city.

  • Some of the locations are built one-to-one with real city and historical buildings, the game has many objects that reflect the national flavor of the old city.

  • Most of the game takes place in unusual locations for the genre - a flooded fortress, an ancient palace, ancient ruins, etc. This is one of the rare games in the genre, with elements of horror, where action takes place in a real city, enveloped in a mystical atmosphere.

  • Survival mode. Special mode where you can fight with different enemies in various maps. There are three types of survival: try to hold out "waves" of enemies, kill all enemies in a certain time and finally, to last as long as possible, remaining alive.

I really wanted this to be good, but it suffers a lot from the same issues that made The Dark Years and Unearthed: The Trail of Ibn-Batuta had & almost no game deserves to be compared to both of those at the same time. - Long, unskippable cutscenes with english subtitles that read like they were auto-translated and voiceover pronunciation by people who haven't seen/heard some of those words before. - A mix of control schemes: The game is split between an 'Light' world (which is quite well designed despite being populated by many stock Unreal civilians) and a 'Dark' world. In the 'Light' world where you explore the city of Baku in Azerbaijan (which I will take their word for), you don't have a sprint meter & you have a flashlight and smart-glasses that you can't use. The smart-glasses would be helpful if there was some sort of navigation as (again, I'm taking their word for it) Azerbaijan is a maze of cobblestone corridors between dead-ends, random savepoints that aren't inside of t...

Its a very good "Bad game". Sure, it needs better character animations, dialogs sounds a bit cheesy, melee combat is pure BS, but its very enjoyable. Core gameplay is good, "enemies" don't feel too weak nor OP, atmoshpere is spooky when it needs to be, and beautiful when necessary. IMO, only 2 thing needs to be done; rewriting the encyclopedia, and revamping the melee combat. 6.8/10 would recommend Oh, and the amount of hilarious cultural references foreigners to Azerbaijan won't understand is through the roof!

Nice music, and pretty good Old City detalisation. Sometimes its remind me Silent Hill with it parallel worlds. Dark world is creepy sometimes nice surrounding effects that keeps you in tense. But characters voiced awful, sound like lifeless robots.

Pretty mediocre mix of an adventure and a shooter. For some reason some of the adventure parts are played in third person, but the rest of the game is in first person which I didn't liked. The whole game should have been first person imo. Character models look pretty bad, story and writing also was rather bad. The levels are sadly mostly pretty empty which is a shame. The combat against regular enemies is ok (mostly zombies) but the boss fights are just awful, They are unbalanced and buggy. There is also one section of the game where a bunch of zombies spawn in and attack you which have for some reason way more hp than all other zombies, which are basically impossible to kill without abusing a glitch basically. So overall, I have to give a negative rating. But it's not all bad. I kinda liked the historian aspect of the game and the first few combat levels are decent, later on they get worse tho.

It really is so bad that it is quite enjoyable. I bought it for a few pennies and after getting over the awful voice acting found that, despite crap graphics and clunkiness, it's not so bad. Fun game just as long as you're not expecting an ace production.

Not often i do a review, but here we go! TLDR iknow, but bare with me... Im on a slight 50/50 here, but have to say im not all that excited after finishing the game with both endings... It started out great, and i love the voice-actor for the main character. The characters in general are descent, and i can't really say much about it other than that the dialogs are a bit akward and doesnt always add up... Most of the voice/dialogs are slightly monotone and there are not a lot of excitement in any of the communication... The graphics are better than descent, but not hitting a high note on my list (even for being such a cheap game). It looks good, it has some good shading and the main character and most of the weapons look great compared to everything else. The environment is good looking, and i can tell they have spent some time on it, but it doesnt make the game better unfortunately... There is no map in the game: fair... But walking around the town is a mind-breaker of its own. most...

The Last DeadEnd is a interesting game which is combines different genres. Despite some minor visual compromises and frame rate drops, it still looks pretty good. Mystic-horror themes and humor elements makes this game more enjoyable. I also loved Zoroastrianism related story (bosses, puzzles). This game gives you a chance to explore Old Baku and learn its history. Anyone looking for a fun challenging gameplay experience should buy this game.

was able to accept a large amount of jank but this game with poor combat then traps you with infinite respawning zombies and a bullet sponge boss make it infuriating and a total waste of your time and dollar.
