TL;DR Version: I wrote nearly 1500 words about a VR kitten game and gave it a thumbs up. What else do you really need to know? Review based on Patch 1.1.1 As a male in his mid-thirties, with an underutilized VR headset and no children, I saw this product in my queue and thought “Is this what you really think of me Steam? Do you actually think that I’m the type of person who will forego my adult responsibilities and neglect my real-world cat just to flail blindly about my living room, playing with a bunch digitally rendered kittens?” “You’re goddamn right that’s who I am,” I said, as I added this game to my cart. And for the price, (I think it was 20% off) I have not been disappointed. Let me start off by saying that I was not even aware that this was an action puzzle game when I bought it. I did not read that far. I saw the opportunity to put cute hats on rainbow colored balls of fluff and I pulled the trigger. But there are actually two distinctly different modes of play...

I am both surprised and delighted to hear of a VR cat game where sometimes the cats are kaiju-sized and will destroy a city if you insufficiently entertain them.
-RockPaperShotgun

Note:
It’s possible to play Kitten’d without a VR headset.
This is however NOT the way the game was meant to be played as you lose out on a big part of the experience and things might not work as well.

Super cool game great controls and lots of fun
Fun game on day one of early access. I played it on a desktop and not on VR so it was a little more difficult to perform some of the actions. The alarm clocks freaked me out and I struggled to catch them when they were whizzing around the room! Up to stage 4 so far and the only bug I've run into is having the menu screen stop working when I loaded 40 kittens into my room.
6 year old loves it. Wants more types of kittens. 10 yr old wants a dog game like this.
It's a cat management game. You have to manage the cats to make sure they stay happy. Then theres the second free play mode where you can just play with your cats. Update: yes it does get better once you unlock more toys. :) I still recommend it if youre like me and you like virtual pet games, this is one of the better ones. I would like to see more objectives in the free play mode. It's a little bit buggy but it's early access and the cats are adorable especially after you turn on fur shading.
KITTIES!!! i literally sat on my floor for 4 hours straight... petting my friends >.> no regrets
I never thought I would find myself sitting with virtual kittens and petting them for hours, forgetting my real kids. Don't judge me.
Entertaining even without VR! I dont have a pc based VR system but I thought I would check this game out anyway. I played it using the steam link and steam controler on my living room tv and things went pretty smooth once I got the controls set. One thing I would suggest is that they add key binding in the options part of the game. This would make it easier to know what keys you need to set up on a controler.
Slightly disappointed that this game says it supports sitting, standing and room scale but gives you no way to move around other than physically moving. I read a reply to one of the comments saying it's of the most demanded features and it'll be coming, but since a seated or standing user cannot play as fully as a free roaming player seated and standing should be removed from the play area listings. Sure you can grab things from a distance, but try putting things in a cupboard... Overall it seems OK, but the experience is hindered by feeling stuck in one place.
So cute, so irresistible, so much...terror. I can only play this game in short increments because it eventually makes me puke rainbows. But those increments are incredibly entertaining.
