I want to give this game a fair chance. I really, really want to. But my god - how can you have THAT for your finale and say: "Okay let's charge $29.99" it's an insult really. even if you take it as a B movie factor with cheese - that finale was not it. On top of that you have repetitive enemies and a story that - kind of went nowhere and then somewhere, and then nowhere again. Yeah buy this on deep sale if you really really want to enjoy it
not too bad. not too good :b
very fun game, very resident evil like, lots and lots of zombies to kill
Daymare: 1998 is a gritty, atmospheric survival horror game that wears its inspirations on its blood-soaked sleeve. Developed by Invader Studios, it began as a fan remake of Resident Evil 2, and that legacy is felt in nearly every aspect of the game—from its fixed-camera roots to its slow-paced, methodical gameplay. However, Daymare: 1998 is not content to simply be a nostalgia piece. It tries to carve out its own identity by expanding its scope, deepening its lore, and offering multiple playable perspectives across a story that is grim, complex, and unrelenting. Set in the fictional town of Keen Sight, Idaho, the story revolves around a catastrophic biohazard outbreak caused by a mysterious chemical weapon known as the Daymare virus. You rotate between three main characters: Liev, a hardened soldier with a moral ambiguity that adds edge to his missions; Raven, an elite operative uncovering the dark truths behind the incident; and Samuel, a civilian suffering from a psychological co...
I was somewhat enjoying until sure voice acting was wonky and controls where not polished but kept me going until bosses each boss is way harder then they should be I mean you don't even know if your damaging the boss especially the final one reaction is not good enough to shoot the barrel you need lightning fast reflexes
Genuinely awful, it's almost impressive how terrible this game is.
I've only played 2.5 hours and... yeah its not great. just some real basic continuity and story issues, less the average voice acting and controls are janky. Not giving up on the studio, I'm sure if they built a bit more they might have something. But imma sit this one out, chief.
Survival horror in the same vein as Resident Evil, only a bit jankier. I though some of the puzzles had some obscure solutions but the atmosphere and action made up for it.
