I played the original free version a long time ago on Yoyo games and was an excellent game. This version expands the original version with many improvements, new modes and music. On writing this review I have played through the majority of the classic mode and briefly tried out most of the modes. There has been clearly a lot of time and love put into this game as it is highly polished and well featured. The graphics are very nice - in particular I like the animated backgrounds that are very colourful. The game begins with a tutorial introducing you to the basic mechanics and teaching you the basics. The tutorial gives you just enough information to allow you to solve any puzzle given enough time but it is up to you to figure out further tricks to cut down the time. As you play the game introduces new bomb types that very the rules and keep things fresh forcing you to take different approaches. The only type I didn't like was the Oxidation which I felt was just plain unfair as it essen...

NOTE: This is a Legacy release of Vertigo Gaming Inc.'s back catalog titles. Because it is an older game running on newer hardware there may be some unexpected errors. Here's how to solve them:
- If you have an error of "Failed to load the game data, File seems corrupted.", you will need to disable the Print Spooler on your computer, as older GM8 games can have this issue. First, right click on This PC or My Computer and select Manage. Select Services and Applications on the left side bar and then select Services. Double click the "Print Spooler" key and go to the General tab, select Startup Type, then select Disabled. Finally, select Stop below the Service Status and then click Apply. The game should now boot up correctly.
- If the game does not close properly and continues to run on Steam even after exiting the game, you will need to run it in compatibility mode to resolve this issue. Right click the game in your Steam Library, go to Properties, then Local Files, then Browse Local Files. Right click on the main .exe in the folder, and go to Properties. Click on the Compatibility tab, then click the "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" box and select Windows XP, then Apply and OK. Restart your computer, and the game will now correctly close after exiting.

An old Game Maker game that holds up well as of Windows 10. Has a nice balance with the problem solving and the time limit. I had some framerate issues for some reason, but that basically meant the time limit was extended, making some bombs easier than they should have been. But otherwise the game mechanics hold to this day.
I played many hours of AcidBomb (predecessor) and this is every bit as great. Aesthetic looks amazing in motion, music is great, and gameplay is mind-twisting. For this price it's a steal.
