Recommended for tactics lovers!!
I've played all the Mangobile games on Android for years. They're some of those favorites I repeatedly revisit.

Kingturn Underworld
Kingturn RPG
Kingturn RPG Plus
Tactics Maiden
Each of these have progressively improved graphics & mechanics. I recommend playing them in this order. These games scratch my (substantial) Final Fantasy Tactics itch, but are even better in many ways. OPTIONS!! Wow, there are so many options! As a programmer, I always give users lots of options, but I sadly rarely see that in a game. Every aspect of Tactics Maiden Remastered can be customized to suit your preferences & skill level. Not only does this allow you to play the game the way you prefer, it lets you add difficulty as you hone your tactical skills. e.g. Changing it so that even friendly units block a unit's path will completely change your tactics for a battle, as would turning on friendly fire. Then of course there's ch...

About This Game
Developed by gamers for gamers, Tactics Maiden, the mobile sleeper hit from 2014 finally comes to PC in a thoroughly overhauled and improved version.
What sets Tactics Maiden apart is:
- Choose your own pace. Either crank up the difficulty and ponder over every single move similar to a board game, or play on normal difficulty and make use of the slick user interface where enemy turns can be executed instantly, and where the game almost has a real time strategy feel to it
- A strong enemy AI which has been constantly improved over the past years since the creation of our first strategy RPG back in 2009
- Flexible character builds with skill points that can be redistributed at will
- Over 90 scenarios for 30+ hours of game play
- A compelling medieval fantasy story centered around feudal rebellions, political schemes, war, and romances
- 25 playable character classes with more than 80 special and tactical skills like 'Fireball', 'Heal', 'Hide', 'Charge', 'Place Swap', 'Web Haul', or 'Send Home'
- Thousands of weapons, armors, and accessories that can be equipped, ranging from standard over rare to legendary items
- Thanks to its 5 difficulty settings that can be adjusted mid-game, Tactics Maiden is suited for both novice players and seasoned strategy veterans

For those who have played the mobile version already, here's what's new in this remastered PC version:
- New vector based unit graphics with smoother animations (classic sprites of the mobile version are still available via game options, though)
- Choose the class of your main hero: Rogue, Warden, Shadow Warrior, Shadow Thief, or Fencer for the female hero. Wizard, Druid, Warlock, Elementalist, or Travel Mage for the male hero
- A few additional scenarios and many scenarios overhauled (much smoother learning curve for beginners with additional guidance)
- Substantially improved replay value due to alternative positions for outposts and pillars which are randomly chosen at scenario start
- Treasure thieves make their appearance now and then, and they'll try to snatch away the treasure chests right under your nose (optional)
- There's a game option now to collect treasure chests automatically after winning a scenario, but only if all enemies were defeated (optional)
- Red elite star units (boss monsters) are now available in Tactics Maiden, and they are not only preset in some of the scenarios, but they can also be spawned randomly (optional)
- More atmospheric ally camp where your units are shown
- Damage range preview added for your convenience (optional)
- Ally units don't block each other's way any longer (optional)
- Units can move out of outposts now, even if a friendly unit is standing on top of it (optional, connected to the blocking way option from above)
- Increased damage for attacks from behind (optional)
- Scum Loading added (undo the current turn, optional)
- Item shop has a selection of rare items now and then
- Sound effects completely overhauled and ambient sound added
- 10 additional music tracks
- 'Speed up' button for the enemy turn now resolves the turn not just faster, but instantly
- German version added (language change via game options)
- Despite all these changes, game saves are still compatible with the mobile version, so they can be synchronized via Dropbox

perfect Battle of Wesnoth type RPG strategy.
Summary: A true hidden gem that really hits that turn based strategy/rpg sweet spot. Gameplay that just gets better and deeper the further you get. Decievingly simplistic in appearance, but offering a very good challenge and real thought and care in building an army. This is an indie title that holds up the tradition of some giants in the console world such as Fire Emblem, Advance Wars, and Final Fantasy Tactics. Will Appeal To: Anyone who enjoys meaty turn-based strategy along with RPG-like progression (similar to xcom or jagged-alliance-style buildup of veteran units). If you like some challenge in your games, and a real chance to lose if you just charge in without thought - this game is for you. If you enjoy gearing up your characters, picking who gets to wield that fancy new sword or staff or suit of armor, to best compliment your characters sklls, this is for you. If you like to customize your chars stats on level-up, this game is for you. It's even got some storyline to follow,...
I have bought and played every game Mangobile has released on Android and Iphone, and can heartily recommend this title to anyone who enjoys strategy rpgs such as Final Fantasy Tactics. In many ways, it is a much more approachable title. I really appreciate the visual enhancements that have come with the pc release, simplistic and cartoony as they may be. It is also great how they mixed up some gameplay aspects for veterans of the phone versions to keep things fresh!
Tactics Maiden is a great mobile game, but it is even better on the PC. The price is right for what you are getting and the amount of time you can sink into this game. I have logged around 75 hours on my phone with it before this version came out. This game is well worth the investment.
Having lots of fun!
10/10 great progression and respec options
I've bought this game on a few different platforms at this point. What I can say is that the matches aren't unnecessarily long, death isn't permanent (a nice twist) and it has enough length to keep ya playing for a bit. I currently play on Pop!_OS with no issues and love the game. Great series! Wish the rest of it was on PC. Doesn't fully scratch my FF: Tactics itch but it scratches my tactical itch overall and that's a challenge.
This is a faithful port of the iOS/Android game, True to its mobile origins, levels are short enough that you can play the game in bite-sized pieces. Nonetheless, it is of high quality, and it is a premium game with no microtransactions or ads.
An excellent tactics game that builds on the mobile Kingturn RPG series.
