Alright so I've been playing this game since alpha many years ago. I don't play via Steam, I play through the My.com launcher, which is terrible by the way. The game has changed quite a lot since then. However, the one thing that has not changed are the devs and their ability to listen to their player-base. So I want to love this game. But it's simply impossible. Whether it's the fact the developers are stuck in a loop of releasing new units that are progressively more powerful than the last. Pushing players to spend money to unlock them. Basically paying to win. Lets' start with the launcher. The launcher is terrible. Not only does it download only through peer to peer (torrent), but the launcher no matter your CPU, will use up 100% of your PC resources to download any updates. And My.com is a Russian company. Take the top 3 most greedy cellphone company, combine them, double it, then triple it again, still less greedy than these guys. Game is dead and its purely 100% their fault for going for a business model that force people to spend hundred to unlock flavor of the month content to be nerfed to the ground the next month with another wave of completly broken content beind paid scheme. 6000$ to unlock a rng based skin... that cant be resold unlike cs:go gambling case.
If yer thinkin 'bout getting into this game, do yourself a favor, don't. You think the game has mostly positive reviews? The devs are running this game into the ground every update, but then they buy bots to write bullshit reviews. Just look at the positive reviews, all of them are under 100 hours, most are 1-2 hours. This is an MMO where you need thousands of hours of Timegated daily/weekly/ 3 month limited items that you will need to grind for years before you can be 1/100th of the way to catching upto the current garbage players, and no way to ever catch up to the current decent players.
