Ancient Rush 2

A nice twist on an Arkanoid / Breakout game. The story line and upgrade system make the game a lot more interesting than just bricks set in specific patterns over and over again as in most games like this. I enjoyed this game.

Shame actually. How many GOOD ARKANOID CLONES do you know? I know one and a half. This one has a lot to show, and might be able to become the full third one. Arkanoid mechanics are good, obstacles are real live obstacles like logs, stones, fences etc. and powerups make your balls bigger or smaller and so on. The balls on the field, not your own of course... But this game would need a few major tweaks in order to be a great game (and worth much more than a buck in a sale). In my opinion, most importantly, it would need an epic story, narrated DURING the stage. I popped on an audio book within minutes, because let's face it, arkanoid mechanics are repetetiv (=boring). Narration during the phase where you try to hit the last two blocks would compensate that. Secondly, I ran into the problem, that the ball went from left to right. A Lot! It never got caught completely, but I estimate it happened about a dozen times during the first area, sometimes for more than 30s without hitting anythin...

buggy mess. Try to access the options menu and the game resolution goes off the screen and nothing works. Total fail. Waited too long for a refund for this half baked shovelware.
