I've played the Art of Murder games back when they were released, so this was mostly a purchase based on nostalgia. But I like the Point'n'Click Adventure genre, even though the story in this one is a bit basic, it's good for a relaxing evening :)

Not a bad game, until I hit a slider puzzle. Why... WHY are you putting this terrible puzzle format in THIS kind of game?! NOBODY LIKES SLIDER PUZZLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Poor rating because of non-creative development. You're just putting this kind of crap in your game so it takes longer to finish. I'd rather have a shorter, QUALITY game, than a crappy long boring one with frustrating puzzles that you can't skip. Lazy programming!!!!!!!!
Recommended. This was just challenging enough for me that I was able to keep moving forward staying challenged not getting bored, until I got to the slider puzzel. I hate slider puzzles. This one is a 16 square slider with the correct picture right next to the puzzle but I have not been able to complete it. From what I can tell I am three quarters of the way throught the game or more but may never finish. I did enjoy playing though up to this point, however may never purchase another game from this dev if I find that they have sliders.
Much better than the first game of the series. Characters and storyline were more engaging and the puzzles were much more appropriate for the story.
pros + good looking and detailed pre rendered graphics + when you click to question mark, hotspots is highlighted. No need to hunt for pixels. + well made cut scenes + fast pacing and intriguing serial killer/murder story + decent voice acting + background music and sound effects are good + some puzzles are enjoyable. there are also inventory puzzles you can combine some items and a few timed sequences. + game is long cons - voice overs suddenly cut while characters was talking - Some puzzle solutions silly and don't make any sense. there is also a slider puzzle but its not so difficult. you re just need little patience to solve it. - cut scenes and some areas in game quite dark and there is no gamma option in menu. - there are no Steam achievements - game doesn't drop cards - game doesn't support 1920*1080p widescreen resolution despite some frustrating puzzles this is an decent and typical old school point and click adventure game.
Huge improvement over the previous game. Better interface design. Puzzles are less convoluted, or at least more obvious. The voice acting is much better, specifically in regards to Nicole. The story is a wild trek, but plays fast and loose. Wishing there was more of Nick, but you can't have everything. IDK why this Mulder wannabe is my fav side character, but I adore his weird ex machina bullshit. The music is very good and not annoying. Sound is a bit loud and requires some custom fiddling. Ran into one game crashing bug, but turning the graphical settings down fixed it. Overall a solid adventure game. Would play again.
I'd say it's the same review for the previous game: classic Point and Click adventure game. the focus here is more investigative about a mysterious murderer who's being chased by the FBI. 1- Graphics: 5/5 Pretty good graphics. I'd argue it has aged pretty well after almost 12 years now. even more beautiful places in this game 2- Story: 3/5 Average story line. you feel like you already saw that dozens of times before. 3- Puzzles: 3/5 sometimes seems pretty illogical. the type where you say to yourself "that's pretty stupid" when you know the solution for them. but the good thing here is that there's a hint system that would help you greatly. Some puzzles are depending on trial and error but most of them are solvable. in general a a good adventure game for the old-school adventure gamer or any new gamer wishes to try Point and Click adventure games.
Stop this annoying slider puzzles! Espacialy if they are that big! I spend over 1.5 hours on that and I was nothing than frustrated at that point!!! This is the big thing, why u get a negative feedback. The other things are a really boring story, I couldn't really see a plausible connection... And I was also one of the persons, who needed a walkthrough some times, because lot of things had be done in a specific row and you didn't get enough informations for that. And sometimes you need to run to diffrent places to pick an item, which she didn't want to take with earlier in the game... Ok, maybe this should be a kind of a realistic touch, but that's not really an expectation to P+C games, and there is so much more what isn't realistic in all of that kind of games. I would have given a good review, if the slider puzzle wouldn't be part of the game and if you would give at least the possibility to skip that kind of riddles. What I like on the game is - Text and Voices in diffrent langu...
3/10 It's like a couple of 17 year old wrote this game.... I can't really recommend this game, even for a point n click fanatic. This game is clearly made by someone that don't know English. I'm surprised the voice actors didn't try to correct the dialog. There are so many things that I can criticize.... For example: you can't put fuel on lighter "this is just stupid" (she says something similar). But put lighter on fuel.... aaah the lighter is full now... I'm not going to waste more time talking about this garbage. I got this game for less than a dollar..... it's not even worth playing for free.
It's decent, enjoyable mystery but, the paper pieces puzzle, who thought it is a good idea to reset the progress if you do not use an item within a few seconds after completion? there are some moments where a walkthrough comes in handy, coz I was absolutely clueless. I played it years ago, but didn't finish, this time I did finish, it was OK, some puzzles were crazy, story was OK, I wanted more suspects and maybe a better ending, and less backtracking for items you need later and can't pick up earlier,
