I cannot recommend this game. I completely understand what the game is trying to convey - sympathy to lonely elderly people. However, the authors are probably still too young to actually comprehend the real dilemma of that population. The main character, Talma, and all the depressing misfortune around her, look quite fabricated and pretentious. 1. The major misfortune of the lonely, elderly group is about how few choices remain in their lives. Instead, the main character, Talma, chose by her own will to live on the farm alone while all her family chose to go to big cities. Instead of appreciating the lonely and repetitious nature of the farm chores (which the game seems to try to convey), I found them quite enjoyable and I am actually happy that Talma got the choice to live the type of life that she enjoyed, despite what all other people chose. 2. It seems that all the tragedy in the end of the game was not caused by the lonely farm life itself, but by a blizzard when all the food w...

About This Game

One by one, everyone left the once bustling village for the city. Everyone, except Talma. Now approaching the end of her days, she maintains a simple, solitary way of life, surviving, subsisting, tending to her homestead and her goats.
Develop your own personal routine as you care for your farm and your animals. Tend to your goats, make cheese with their milk, collect eggs and cook meals, grow vegetables and barter with the travelling merchant who brings increasingly disturbing letters from your family in the city.
A follow up to the critically acclaimed Where the Goats Are, The Stillness of the Wind is a quiet rumination on life and loss.

Breed and look after your goats, make cheese from their milk, grow vegetables, water your plants, collect eggs, scare off the birds. It’s a hard but simple life of peaceful subsistence.

The travelling merchant brings letters from your family and friends and with them a view into a city that feels both very far away and as if it threatens to wash away the world you know.

It's up to you how you spend Talma’s time each day and what your routine will be. Focus on your chores, wander in the desert, reminisce about the past or draw patterns in the dirt.

Trade cheese and other items in return for hay for your goats, seeds to plant, fables, exotic items and shotgun shells, whilst exchanging conversation with the travelling merchant, your only human interaction.

Where the Goats Are was Memory of God's first game. The Stillness of the Wind will be a follow up, expanding on the original concept.

"While Tikvah and her goats might meet an ultimately tragic end, the fleeting, quiet moments before this asked me to appreciate the small things while I could. "

Beautiful game. More of a 'growing old' experience that can be depressing for some, but hits all the right notes for my taste. Not everyone will like it, but I think about this game at least once a month.
The most depressing farming game ever. Even though I enjoyed a lot, I couldn't know for sure if my ending was a good one.
This game transports me somewhere else entirely. It is beautiful, minimalist, and creative. I liked the gradual build of the narrative, and its ability to encapsulate deep emotions in a seemingly straightforward atmosphere. I'd recommend this game to someone looking for something story rich, relaxing, with a focus on the characters' emotions and environment.
I loved playing this game, it's the first time for me. and I would love for others to play this game it gives you a chance to see what it fills like living alone raising animals taking care of yourself and your delivery man. Who gives you letters from your loved ones, who say great things, but (No one) ever comes back home to you. It's a lonely Existence to fight for your own striving to serve. "I cryed on this one!!!" Thank You Game Makers For This Beautiful Game!!!! :) :)
