Super Weekend Mode is dangerously addicting, but the trailer doesn't really do it justice. I also hear that the demo starts on a very steep difficulty which may be offputting to newcomers. But honestly, considering the price-point and simple-yet-clever mechanic, this is in that 10/10 range. Essentially, you toggle two paddes back and forth while firing (and really, you can toggle autofire so you don't even have to worry about shooting). Thus this only needs three buttons max. To finish the stage you collect as many hearts and try to hit the boss as much as possible; it all goes towards level 'completion'. If a heart hits the floor, the ceiling drops a little. There are powerups at the end of the stage and different playable characters. Yeah, it's all fairly lite, but my gosh is it fun. While it looks like a shooter, I'd almost lump this into the Metronomicon/Guitar Hero crowd. It's all about memorizing the patterns and getting that twitch mu...

It looks nice, and a lot of thought went into it, but I just really don't like it. Moving the two paddles independently and with one button feels *weird*.

Despite stating to be a single player game, because of its left-right-brain multiprocessing banana split, it's probably perfect for two players co-operating. Try it out!! I love this game and its deceptively charming MSX graphics SO MUCH, but as a single player experience, it has a true arcade game's difficulty curve. I'm not even kidding when I say that SWM is the most difficult arcade game I've played in a few years, owing much to the concept I can't seem to master: you control two individual paddles simultaneously while dodging and hitting falling streams of items. It owes much to rhythm games– probably more than to Arkanoid and its paddle-bricky ilk, and is fairly simple to describe, but it's one of those mixtures that quickly proves hard as nails to crack. I'm so happy this thing exists. If there's something I'd personally change, I'd make those bunnies easier to tackle. I'd also shorten the levels, because after the midway point of each it's just repetition, essentially. Sho...

Super Weekend Mode is very simple arcade but I am enjoying it, especially when it comes to visuals. It helps if you like cute pixel art and adorable characters. Each stage is basically a boss fight with 2 forms. You have to control 2 individual pads in order to pick up and avoid objects. It is a little difficult if you not use to controlling two things at once although you can adjust the difficulty. The game pretty much speaks for itself. If you like the art style and music in the trailer then I would recommend it. In order to play with a controller, you will have to assign the buttons in options. I found it easier to just map the pads to LB+RB. You can also change the outfit of your character for unique bonuses. However, the game will need achievements in order to reward playing with a weaker costume. There are currently no leaderboards which certainly hurts the replay value for this type of game. Otherwise, the game has enough unique artwork to play it for at least few hour...

Just as good as the demo version on Itchi.io :3 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1357089048 Except this one adds more fun to the pot. Adjustable controls? Check Adjustable difficulty? Check Multiple character modes, each with their own hook to how the game plays? Check Good Price? ( less than a cup of coffee ) Check Achievements? -not yet- So far, the only issue I have is you can't map L bumper and R bumper on a controller in the controller config in game. SO to tha, my remedy is the same as it was for the Itch.io version. Use JoytoKey Disable the Steam controller support first, otherwise, things will be very wonky. Create a Joy to key profile named Super weekend Mode and set the buttons as follows Stick 1, 2 and POV directionals are obvious, just do up down left right. The rest : Button 1 - Space Button 2 - Space BUtton 3 - Space BUtton 4 - Space Those are the four face buttons, used for shooting ( There's an autofire op...

It's a muscle memorization game. Only two buttons required, only two fingers but boy they'll need to be fast and have all those escape patterns figured it out to get through this. Later levels will throw an awful lot of twists to make you confused. Be prepared to lose a lot, which is actually kind of required. You'll be doing the same levels over and over again in order to memorize them. It does feel satisfying though, specially when you get that perfect score and don't let any hearts hit the floor. The art is cute, a bit amateuristic but not in a bad way. Music is super good. I have put over 12 hours to this game and didn't manage to beat later bosses yet. I refuse to go for easy settings with this game, it's suppose to be quite hard. If you're into Guitar Hero and other types of muscle memorization games you'll enjoy this one.

Such an amazing take on a puzzler. Saw this multiple times on Itch.io but never budged on getting the demo and am happy to be an owners now that it's on Steam. https://youtu.be/-Vp9_WQxmSQ The concept of the game is simple but as it slowly progressing and layers mechanics, it'll begin to bend your brain. Seriously I am so happy this game exists and is a true gem.
