Overall, this is a pretty fun and unique old RTS. There are three factions with significant differences, and while Humans may seem familiar, Foresters and Darklings range from weird to borderline alien. There's also a pretty unique Glory mechanic, requiring you to focus on neutral dwellings to get your economy rolling. The campaign balance is sort of all over the place. Your heroes, and specifically good use of their abilities and getting lucky with artefacts makes or breaks a lot of the missions. The human campaign is relatively straightforward, the forester campaign throws a couple curveballs and the darkling campaign is somewhat easy for a large portion of it, but the last mission, ho boy, the last mission. Even with the unit duplication abuse this mission can take a long time. How you beat it without the unit duplication strategy, I have no idea. Just survive until you can dupe Stoneshapers and then don't move out until you have like 4 full squads of them.

Set in the beautiful fantasy world of Equiada, home to magical creatures, mighty leaders, and powerful wizards, Rising Kingdoms offers players the unique combination of strategy and adventure modes.
In strategy mode the player can choose from three major races: treacherous Humans, vicious Foresters and merciless Darklings. In addition to these primary races, the player can subjugate and develop some of the five smaller independent nations: Shades, Nomads, Dragons, Trolls, and Elves. Combined with the player’s main race they provide a valuable asset when clashing with their opponents.
In adventure mode the player controls a group of heroes and a small squad of troops uncovering dark secrets and surprising twists as the adventure unfolds. The story spans over several generations, portraying powerful ancient artifacts, the rise and fall of mighty leaders and glorious kingdoms, and the birth of new mystic creatures and races.
